Ben's Perspective - Halloween 2017 at Gloria Estefan's House, Halloween Party
As I entered the vibrant Halloween party at Gloria Estefan's house, I couldnned to share a cop costume with Anna. I know, it's a bit cliche, but it felt right. She was dressed as a cop, and I was the more dashing counterpart. We strolled into the event and were immediately surrounded by a diverse crowd of guests. Singers, actors, realtors, and other high-net-worth individuals mingled and enjoyed the festivities. Anna excused herself to catch up with some friends, leaving me by the snack table. As I grabbed a snack, I noticed a Madonna-clad woman beside me, and to my surprise, it was none other than JLo. I was briefly taken aback by her presence, particularly when she was engrossed in conversation with her boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, a well-known figure.
"Babe, we just got here. Let's not leave so soon," Jennifer expressed her reluctance to depart.
"Fine, but I can't stand your friends. They're as dull as you are," Alex responded, clearly irritated, and walked away, leaving Jennifer alone at the snack table with me.
Jennifer looked upset, and I wanted to say something, but her friend intervened, guiding her away from the crowd to console her. The rest of the evening passed without an opportunity to talk to Jennifer.
As the party came to an end, I found myself waiting for the valet to bring my car, and Jennifer was also standing nearby. Summoning the courage to approach her, I asked, "Hi, are you waiting for your car too?"
"Yes," Jennifer replied, her gaze momentarily meeting mine before scanning the surroundings.
Noticing her lingering distress, I inquired, "Are you alright? You seem a bit upset."
"It's none of your business. I don't even know you, so don't get involved in something you don't understand," Jennifer snapped, though her response seemed driven more by fear than genuine anger. She walked away and stood at the curb's edge, putting some distance between us, and I sighed while waiting for my car.

Ben's Perspective - Present Day
Jenn and I were preparing for the upcoming party, and I couldn't help but reflect on the Halloween party from years ago when we first met. I chuckled softly in amazement, thinking about how that was our initial encounter.
"Baby!" Jenn called out from the closet. I finished getting ready, donning my Batman costume for the event.
"Yes, babe," I responded, taking a moment to appreciate her as she struggled to put on her latex Catwoman costume, sans panties and bra. She looked stunning with her makeup and curled hair.
"Holy moly, we're matching," I murmured, captivated by her beauty.
"What?" Jenn asked as she turned to me, fully decked out in her costume. I gulped, unable to take my eyes off her. "Forget the party... I want you, right now."
Jenn laughed and kissed my cheek, saying, "Not yet, papi." I was utterly entranced by her beauty.
"No, papi, let's go," she laughed, pulling me and playfully gripping my ass. We bid farewell to the kids and headed to the awaiting car.
The car ride was a bit challenging for me, as all I wanted to do was shower her with affection and kisses. Jenn was engrossed in her phone, texting her friend with an infectious smile. "Babe, who are you texting?" I asked, curiosity piqued but not worried.
"No one," she giggled, continuing to text. I leaned over, trying to sneak a peek at her screen, but she had a privacy screen protector, rendering it all blacked out.
I leaned back and fell silent, reminded of when Anna used to do the same, often ignoring me to text other women.
Babe, do you love me?" I asked, seeking reassurance.
"Of course, babe. Why would you ask that?" Jennifer replied, her phone now set aside as she looked at me, a hint of concern in her eyes.
"I don't know... just asking," I said.
"Babe, of course, I love you. Forever and always," she reassured me, sealing it with a soft kiss. We finally arrived, an hour later, and stepped out of the car.
I smirked and chuckled softly as I admired her sensual stride. Her natural hip sway was incredibly sexy. We checked in at the entrance and entered the party. Almost everyone we knew was there, and our friends were among the attendees. Initially, the party seemed a bit lackluster, with few guests hitting the dance floor. Jennifer, on the other hand, was animated as she chatted with her best friend, Loren. I took a seat at a table, sipping on my Diet Coke while observing the crowd. A man with a skull-painted face approached Jennifer, greeting her warmly and embracing her tightly. His hand lingered on her lower back, and I watched closely to see her reaction. They conversed for a while, and he even planted a kiss on her cheek before departing. Jennifer made her way to me, planting a kiss on my cheek.
"Hey, baby," she said as she settled on my lap.
"Hey," I nodded, continuing to sip my Diet Coke.
I couldn't help but ask, "Who was that guy?"
"Just a friend, why?" she replied softly.
"Friends don't touch your lower back like that, almost reaching your ass," I retorted.
"Okay," she responded, seemingly unfazed.
I scoffed in disbelief, expecting an apology or an explanation. Yet, nothing came.
"You're overreacting, babe," Jennifer brushed off my concerns, proceeding to enjoy herself on the dance floor. The most frustrating thing about Jennifer was my inability to stay mad at her. She had a unique charm, an allure that I couldn't quite define. She was simply perfect in my eyes. I tried to make the most of the party, but it felt like Jennifer was having a better time than I was.
