When the school day comes to an end I immediately start walking out of the building on the way to the tower.
I have to take the subway again which is really unfortunate, but it's either that or walk for 3 hours back to manhattan and I simply just don't have the time nor the patience for that.
I get onto the subway and sit down, it's 45 minute ride which sucks ass. Eh you probably don't wanna hear me complaining all the time.
I take out my phone, there's a bunch of notifications from the discord server I joined earlier today.
So I go onto the app, the notifications are just them asking how I know Shmaptin Shmerica. Then Callie tells them that I have an internship at SI and they went crazy.

I slide my phone into my pocket as I walk out the subway station.
In no time I find myself approaching the tower, I've not been in a few days so I'm kinda glad to be back. Jeez I don't know why it was literally only 4 days.
I walk into the absurdly large building and make my way through the security scanners whilst saying hi to a few familiar employees.
I get to the elevator and walk in, being greeted my my best gal FRIDAY.
"What's up Fri, bring me to the lab please" I say with a slight smile.
"Of course Mr. Parker, I'm glad that your back!" She says... kindly? Eh Tony probably added some more coding.
The elevator starts to move upwards as I drum my fingers along my leg.
When they open I walk out only to be engulfed into a familiar hug.
"Hiya Harls" I say with a smirk and he pulls away from me grinning.
"What happened? Dad told me you moved, does it take four days to move?" He asks with a raised brow.
"Well it's been a weird few days but I'm glad to see you again" I say with a smile and he just hugs me again... like really tightly.
"Can't- breathe-" I gasp out.
"Harley I'm pretty sure you're gonna cut off his blood circulation if you keep this going" Tony says with a smirk and I look over to him as Harley let's me go.
"Hey Tones" I say with a grin.
"What's up kid, you doing alright?" Tony asks as he fuses two wires together.
"Yup, I'm fine, better than fine actually" I say with a shrug.
"Sooooo where'd you move? Not far right?" Harley asks.
"Nah not far, just 15 minutes from my old place" I shrug.
"Yeah... and why'd you move?" Tony asks curiously.
"Well I got expelled from school... again, and you know how I'm in foster care?" I say and he raises a brow.
"No didn't know, jeez I'm literally the worst boss ever" Tony says with wide eyes.
"Oh don't worry about it, anyway, they went to tell my foster father about the expulsion but they found him shooting up and arrested him. Now he's like being prosecuted or something but they found a bunch of illegal shit it the house. So now I'm with a new foster family, and I also a new school, but the school is in Brooklyn so I have to take a 45 minute subway ride everyday which kinda sucks but the school itself is actually alright" I say and they look surprised.
"Damn, how are you so okay with all this, your foster father went to jail and you had to move all your thing to another house with a stranger you've never met and go to a new school? Oooft" Harley says and I just shrug.
"Oh this happens a lot, Crazy Carl wasn't all that bad, better than Pedo Pablo or Asshole Adam, or Bitchy Brittney, fuck she was horrid" I say with a shiver.
"Whoa whoa whoa what made Pablo a pedo, do you say that cause he was creepy or was he like genuinely a pedophile?" Tony asks with widened eyes.
"Oh he was definitely a pedo, like he's in jail right now for child exploitation and rape and all that nasty shit" I say, sitting down at my work station.
"Jesus fuck you're life is depressing" Harley blurts out and Tony smacks him lightly up the back of his head.
"Heh I know" I say with an amused smile.
"Well you probably wanna do something around the lab, why don't you two boys help me build Rhodey a new upgraded suit?" Tony asks us and we both grin.
"Can we add a potato gun?!" Harley asks excitedly and Tony just laughs, rolling his eyes playfully as we all get to work.
