Rajveer's pov:

"I want shizuka, Doraemon.
I don't know anything,
Mainu Shizuka chaiye chaiye chaiye e chaiye....."

Were the voices ringing in my ears for the past half an hour, groaning i tried to turn my head to the other, but failed.

There was some weight on my stomach. I kept my eyes closed, but when it started slapping me on chest lightly, i had to peek a look at the intruder. It's sunday, for god sake.

"Cha i want zuka too,
Wakie and bring me zuka now."

Ughh. It was Fateh, he began slapping me again, seeing my dormant response.

"Oyye, what are you doing here.
Go run to your mother."
I lifted him up, and put him down at the ground.
But he began whining.

"Cha, zuka now."
He began stomping his foot loudly.

"You want your mother to come n punish me, Champ."
And he filled up his eyes again. Drama queen.

"Fine, I'm up.
Happy now."

I picked him up and made my way downstairs.

Mom and bhabhi were talking in hushed voices, while dadi was trying to listen to them. I frowned at the sight. They all were present in the kitchen, quite early and unusual.

Dad and bapuji were gone for their morning walk, that perhaps got prolonged.
Bhai must be sleeping after his tiring trip.

I dropped Fateh on the kitchen counter, and narrowed my eyes at their curiousity filled eyes.

"So?"
Mom asked.

"What,"
I replied.
And she raised an eyebrow at me.

"Come on, at least tell me
Who is she?"
Bebe pouted.

"Who, people?
I don't know any she.
Ofcourse except you all."
I tried again.

"Cha you want Zuka.
Mom will give you Zuka. right, mum?"
He's too smart for any good.
Ehde badaam bnd krne mai.
I narrowed my eyes at him.

(*I'd stop his almond supplies.)

"Of course, my baby.
I'll bring Zuka for you both.
In fact your cha has already found his Zuka, we'll bring her soon, son."
Bhabhi cooed at him.

I groaned at her and rolled my eyes at her statement.

"I won't like any Zuka for my hotshot grandson.
She'd be an angel incarnation, descended directly from heaven.

Rabb da roop, honi chaidi meri noonh."
Bebe said, looking at me with dreamy eyes.
And i awkwardly laughed.
*(She'd like god's face, on earth.)

"So, what was going on?"
I tried to change the topic.

"Oh, yes.
Who was the girl, back in college?"
Bhabhi asked.

"Who."
"What."

I and bebe asked simultaneously.

She browses her phone, and started searching her gallery.
I was thinking hard, while mom and bebe were looking at her phone curiously.

"There it is."
Mom and bebe were fighting for the phone, when i took advantage of my height, and took it from above their shoulders.

It was a picture clicked in dim light, not much clear.
But it was visible, that had me, holding a woman, quite close to myself.

I was thinking hard, when the phone was snatched from my hands.

She appeared quite familiar,
Oh freaking hell she's Ms. Dhillon. Nobody should get to know that.

What was she thinking while clinging to me like that.
In fact, how can I hold her like that, without strangling her.
And, I was suddenly rushed with yesterday's events and our first harmless conversation, which was like once in a blue moon.

I chuckled at my thoughts.
And everybody looked in my direction.
I scratched my nape.

"Who is she, Raju?"
Bebe asked.

"Yes Rajuuu,
Tell us about her."
Bhabhi asked.
She definitely knows some things. But what and how.

"You know dadi, your grandson is a superhero. And It was an accident. Where i was present to save her.
So you see she was nothing but a casualty."

I spoke and escaped my way out.

"Hww, how can you talk about her like that."
Bhabhi gawked at me.

"How do you know her so well."
I narrowed my eyes at her.

"She is my friend.
And soon to be sister, I'm gonna make sure of that.
Now that I know, things are improving between you two.
Oh god, I've so much to do and
I'm so alone here."
She pouted, beginning to walk away.

"Have you gone insane, bhabhi."
I asked her.

"No, i am not.
I really like her for you.
Soon i will get mom and bebe on my side too."

We turned to look at them both, who were gushing overlooking the pictures.

"Bhabhi listen, you don't hate me, right?"

"Aww, my baby brother.
I really care about you.
And trust me you do need somebody to be there for you, cook for you, serve you with her own hands, when you return after a long tiring day at work, with a smile on her face."

She explained, pulling at my cheeks. Now i was annoyed.

"Bhabhi, first of all,
I ant a wife, and not a butler.
And you never welcome bhai.

And by any chance, if poor him gets so lucky, you always bear an annoyed sleepy face at him, and he never likes to see you with long looking faces.

You never serve or cook for him, cause you can't cook and you never serve as we all eat together.
When not, it's always outside.

So you can NOT trap me in these sweet talks.

Now, if you will excuse me.
I have somewhere to be at.
BYE."

I controlled my laughter looking at her bewildered face, and went towards my room.

I have to visit another city, for official purpose with dad and Bapuji, as they wanted to visit some old friends.

I went for a quick shower and readied myself for the day.

After few hours:

Finishing my business, i made my way out of the community hall.
I had received a call from dad, when he asked me to arrive on an already texted address.

It was a fairly large house, with a very spacious driveway and a beautiful garden.

Security let me in saluting at me.
Preparing myself, i rang the bell and the door was soon opened by a woman of my mother's age.

"Sat Sri Akal, aunty ji."
I joined my hands and bent down to touch her feet.

"Sat Sri Akal, puttr ji.
Ghar lbhan ch dikkat te nhi hoi."
*(Hope you didn't had any troubles locating the house.)
She blessed me as she hugged me sideways.

"Nahi, nahi.
Nothing like that."
I answered politely.

"Come on in.
Everybody's looking forward to meet you."
She smiled at me and let me in.

The place was beautiful, with a touch of modernity and typically traditional look.

We walked towards the place, where other elders sat.
Bapuji and another man of his age were chattering continuously.
I went to them and prepared to sit with them after touching their feet.

"Haaye, kinna sohna munda hai,
aa puttr mere kol baith."
A woman of my bebe's age said, as i bent in front of her, while holding my arms and making me sit beside her.
*(Such a handsome fellow, come on sit beside me.)

"Aakhir pota kisda aa."
My grandfather said, and everybody laughed.
*(Afterall, he is my grandson).

They were all having great time of their lives.

After a few more moments of my appreciation, they went back to their previous talks, involving me once in a while, as i sat there giving my opinions and a few nods.

I was introduced to best friend of Bapuji, who was separated due to some circumstances, and i came to know about their third best friend who was also maternal grandfather of Mr. Sarabjeet Singh, who happens to be the grandson of my Bapuji's best friend. He was of same age as my elder brother.

I met with his mother, the lady who welcomed me at the door, his wife, Mehar kaur, a charming lady and a mother of 5 year old Tanveer, and his father, a strict but jolly man, who instantly clicked with dad.
They had a daughter too who studies in Chandigarh.

Apparently, they were like family and i never knew about them.
Well, things happen, and I hold no regrets, they are great people.

After another few rounds of talks reminscing their old times, we were served lunch.
I was making my way towards my designated seat when a hyperactive child collided with my legs, and stained my shirt with her chocolate dipped hands.
She was Sarab bro's daughter, an adorable little minx.
Her mother began to scold her for her carelessness and she gave her a cute pout, melting her anger away.

" I can't even scold you, now.
Nivi is going to get an earful for teaching you these things. I swear."

Bhabhi huffed at her, and took us both for cleaning us.

She sent me to a nearby room's bathroom leaving the place to let me clean, and took Tanveer with her for changing her clothes.

I tried to clear the stain as much as i could, came out to stand in front of a wall filled with family pictures.

From the time of youth towards the older days of the elder couples, and
from the younger generation's childhood to present times, pictures were hung in beautiful collages, giving a very nostalgic vibes.

I was smiling looking at them, until my eyes fell on a familiar brunette woman.

'what is she doing here?'
was all i had been thinking,
looking at her pictures, while waiting for Mehar bhabhi.

"What are you still doing here?
The lunch must have been cold, Rajveer."
She asked me from distance.

"Yes, i was waiting for you.
Can you tell me, who is she?"
I hope curiousity will not kill the cat this time.

"Ah, she's my sister in law, Navneet.
She is currently at Chandigarh."

Thanks to god, i was not ready for another hyperactive encounter with her, being mentally and physically tired, already having a fruetful day.

"She's really a very kind and generous soul.
Always helping the ones in need.
She is just like you, never tolerating the injustice and
teaching a lessons to the unfair. Sometimes she worries me so much.

By the way, she is your biggest fan, and admires your works."

Trust me i have first hand experience of her generosity.
I nodded at her, still lost in my thoughts.

Of course, she's a walking disaster.
And 'my fan', that would be a sick joke, she would leave no chance at strangling me.

But she looks so innocent.
My subconscious suggests.

Looks are deceiving, man.
Don't go at her cute innocent face.

I was brought out of my thoughts by bhabhi.

"The person who will marry her, will be the luckiest one."

Oh trust me, he will die of a heart attack one day or other, just by living in her presence.

"Of course."
Was all i could say.

"Mumma, I'm hungry."
Tanveer said.

And we smiled at her and made our way back to rest of our family.

The day was about to be over, giving me a lot of memories and a chance to know such amazing people.
Ms. Navneet was mentioned many a times,
A kind, naive, loveable, and
an angelic soul.
I choked at my drink, listening to their last adjective for her.

When Sarab bro's grandma, now mine too, rushed to my aid.

Well, i will not crush their feelings for their not so innocent daughter.

And the way she behaves with me, is solely reserved for you Rajveer.
My mind supplied.

Yeah right.

We decided to stay a night at their place, as it was getting really foggy and the distance back was really long.
After dinner and a bonfire was lit up in the back gardens, where our parents shared about the times they missed in others' lives.

Bapuji was desperate to meet his little Nivi, who was not so little anymore, and definitely not the innocent, naive one who could not even hurt a fly.

As her vacations were going on, and she had nothing to do back there so she agreed to come earlier then planned, that's tomorrow.

It was like a warning sign.
But nothing would have prepared me enough for the next encounter with the incarnation of devil.
