Jasper helped Narcolepse with dinner that night while everyone else was off doing their own thing. Jasper was slicing an onion when Narcolepse came up behind him and mumbled,
"You're doing good."
"Shh. Don't distract me."
Jasper's cheeks were red and he was very much into the idea of being distracted. He hadn't kissed Narcolepse at all today. Not that he needed to on a daily... But it really was amazing and hard not to do it on a daily. To his disappointment, Narcolepse moved away. Jasper's shoulders slumped, then he continued cutting up the onion.
"What're we making today?"
"Soup."
"What kind?"
"Stew."
"Oh."
"Yeah. So, it'd be great if you could peel a few potatoes."
"Ok."
Jasper finished the onion, then went on to do the potatoes.

When dinner was finished and everyone came in to eat, Jasper was buzzing with nervous energy. He couldn't wait for the meal to end and catch Narcolepse alone. Did he feel this way? If so, how the hell did he control himself? After dinner, it was movie night and Jasper was agitated. He sat in a beanbag and kept shifting in it the entire movie. He couldn't focus. His mind was on Narcolepse's lips. When the movie ended and the lights turned on, Narcolepse was gone. That was frustrating. He sighed and went to leave the room when Freak gripped his hand. Jasper looked down at him.
"Hey. What's up?"
"I just wondered if you were ok."
"Uh, yeah. I'm fine. I might have to go run off some extra energy in the training room, but other than that, yeah. I'm ok. Are you ok?"
Freak smiled.
"Yeah. I was just worried about you. You're radiating anxious energy."
"Oh, I am?"
"Mhm. You go run off your steam."
Freak let go of his hand and went up to bed. Jasper sighed again and went to the training room where he started throwing ice orbs at targets until he was tuckered out. Then, he headed up to bed.
