Wayside Vs. Riverside Pt. 2 | Logicality/Prinxiety/Demus

Start from the beginning

Roman, Patton, and Remus entered their car and immediately started gushing about their individual experiences. Remus eventually started driving back to their house but they were all still excitedly rambling about what was to come tomorrow.

~~bonus, like one or two years later~~

Roman smiled as Patton ranted about tonight's football game, talking over the other excited teenagers on the bus. He wasn't completely paying attention, he was just thinking about getting to see Virgil during his ROTC drills before the game. What I wouldn't give for that man to step on me-

The bus pulled to a stop and the coaches explained the rules for everyone before letting them all off the bus. Patton grabbed his bag, pulling Roman into a tight hug. "You're gonna do great! I'll be cheering you on the whole time." Roman smiled and waved to Patton until he skipped out of sight, going to the field with the other cheerleaders to practice.

~~~~
Logan rolled his eyes as Virgil finally came running from the entrance as fast as he could. "Sorry, Lo. The traffic was terrible-" Logan cut him off, shoving his uniform into his hands. "I've heard it all before, I'm used to it. Just get changed, I have to go."
Virgil smiled, "Thanks, Lo. You're seriously the best!" He shouted to his friend as he ran to the changing room.
Remus lazily chewed on his Sour Punch Straws, laying of his back across the bench with his eyes closed, basically letting everyone know he was saving a seat. He knew he should be on his brother's side to support him but Roman was happy Remus showed up at all. Besides, he knew Remus sat on the opposing side for one reason only.
"Aw, you got the party started without me?" Remus's eyes snapped open and grinned at Janus's shadowy figure, which was thankfully blocking the sunlight. He sat up and allowed Janus to sit down next to him, adjusting his shirt as he did so. He and Janus were wearing fishnet crop tops, green and yellow respectively, with baggy black cargo pants. Janus was more confident than him though so Remus wore a black tank top underneath.
"Who's winning?" "Don't know, don't care. Don't they have a board for that?" Janus wrapped an arm around Remus's shoulders and smiled. "Remus, darling, I have a surprise for you." Remus licked the sugar off his fingers and folded the plastic container. "Oh yeah? What's that?" Janus pulled out a folded piece of paper and handed it to his boyfriend, dropping his arm from his shoulders.
Remus furrowed his eyebrows and took the paper. "Weird way to propose but okay..." He mumbled, Janus snorted but waited patiently as he opened it and read the first line. "Mr. Blair...proud to inform...accepted..." Remus mumbled as he read, gasping a few moments later when it finally clicked. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, you got- oh my god!"
Janus laughed and pulled him into a hug. "I got in! I got it this morning, I thought you should be the first to know, seeing as how you kind of helped me study for the SAT's." Remus dismissed him with a hand wave, "I'm more proud of myself for actually helping you. So many late nights, too many vocabulary words..." Remus visibly shuddered, laughing when Janus shoved him lightly.
"Hey, this is supposed to be my moment." Janus complained, Remus nodded and kissed his cheek. "I know and I'm very proud of you."
Virgil messed with Roman's jersey and frowned. "We have to get out there soon." Roman placed one more kiss on Virgil's lips and smiled. "Here, take this..." Roman handed Virgil his class ring. "And pray I don't get a concussion the whole time." Virgil raised an eyebrow. "One, this is super cheesy and outdated. Two, now that you've planted that idea in my brain I will fear you getting a concussion until football season is over."
"Does that mean you don't want it?" Roman reached for the ring, Virgil slapped his hand away and slid the ring onto his finger. "Shut up. I just point out your cheesiness, you aren't supposed to actually listen to me." Roman smirked. "See you after the game."
He winked at Virgil and ran around the building to the field, strapping his helmet on as he went. Virgil shook his head at his idiocy with a small chuckle. He forced himself off the wall and made his way to the fence where he'd get the flags and drill guns.
~~~~

Patton ensured he was within Logan's eye-line as he did some marching warm ups. Patton smiled and did a few cartwheels, twists, even a triple tuck. When he was done, the audience applauded him but he only cared about Logan. The boy was standing at the fence, staring at his boyfriend in awe with a slacked jaw.

Logan sharply turned around and said something to the band director, sneaking one last glance at Patton before walking away. Patton giggled a bit, 'Of course he'd get in trouble for drooling over his boyfriend.' Patton thought amusedly before returning to his cheers.
