I’m now here in my room putting my stuff and uniforms on for tomorrow, but my mind is still wandering. How can I make it up to Ion? For sure he is mad at me. Talagang mabait lang siya kaya hinatid niya pa rin ako pauwi.

I'm done fixing myself and I'm in the living room now. I'm waiting for Crizel to call.

Hindi naging matagal ang paghihintay ko dahil nag-ring na kaagad ang cellphone ko.

Finally!

[Hello?] Crizel on the other line.

“Where are you now?” Tanong ko agad.

[I'm on my way, I'll be there in a moment. Dito nalang tayo sumakay sa kotse namin.]

“Sure, I’ll just wait for you here, bye!” That's it, and I hung up the call.

I heard the doorbell ring, maybe it was Crizel.

"Hi po Tita, good evening." Crizel greeted my Mom.

“Oh, good evening din ija. Aalis na ba kayo ni Chloe?” Tanong ni Mommy at tumingin sa gawi ko.

“Yes po tita,”

I immediately stood up and put on my hoodie. I get all of my stuffs at isinakbit ang pack bag ko.

“Let’s go?”

I looked at Mommy and kissed her cheek.

“Bye Mommy, magsara na po agad kayo ng mga pinto okay?” I reminded her.

Mommy just nodded. "Take care!" She reminded us, Crizel and I just nodded in response.

We are now inside Crizel's car and we are sitting next to each other in the back. She didn't sit in the passenger seat because she thought I might get bored sitting in the back.

"I hope she's okay, because I'm really worried about her." I said.

"The last time I saw her smile and laugh was during the book character parade." She said.

"We're almost there, let's just make her happy so that at least our worries will be lessened." I said.

We're getting close to Hannah's house, but I can't see a single light on inside. Their house is so dark and it seems like there's no one home. She's the only child and her stepfather is the only one with her at home, while her mother works abroad to provide for their needs.

"Why does it seem like there's no one here?" Tanong ko habang dumudungaw sa labas ng bintana.

"Maybe they're just inside?" Crizel said, even though it's obvious that she's also confused.

We're now in front of Hannah's house at bumaba na kami ng sasakyan. Mayroong mga kalapit na bahay sila at pinagtitinginan kaming dalawa ni Crizel.

"Why do I have this feeling that there's no one here?" I said again. Iba ang kutob ko rito.

"I think we should ask their neighbors? Maybe they know where Hannah is or where she went.” Crizel suggested, sumang ayon naman kaagad ako dahil na rin sa pag-aalala.

Hindi pa kami nakakatalikod ay may isang babaeng nagsalita sa likuran namin. Hindi naman siya katandaan, katamtaman lang.

“Si Hannah ba ang hinahanap n'yo?” Tanong ng babae.

“Opo,” sabay naming sagot ni Crizel.

“Nako, nahuli na kayo mga ija. Kanina pang nakaalis si Hannah, at ang step-dad niya naman ay hindi na namin napag-alaman kung saan nagpunta.” Paliwanag nito.
