CHAPTER 7

"What do you want to drink? Juice or what?" Ion asked.

"Hmm, maybe just water," one of our groupmates answered.

"Ok then,"

Ion stood up and went to the kitchen, maybe to get some water. So I also stood up and followed him. He didn't know that i'm following him dahil nakatalikod siya sa akin ngayon while he was getting something from the refrigerator.

After he finished, he finally noticed me when he turned around. He was surprised, probably not expecting me to be there.

"What are you doing here?" His voice was cold.

"Chill sis, I'm just here to help you." I quickly replied.

"Well, I don't need your help," he said gruffly. I frowned, but I didn't back down.

"Well, based on what I'm seeing now, you can't handle it alone because you're holding two pitchers. What if you suddenly slip? Then everything will spill on you, right?" I reasoned, mimicking his tone of voice as I passed through him.

I went to the back and took six glasses for all of us. I placed the glasses on a tray to make it easier and more convenient for me.

"Put down that tray," he commanded.

"But I don't want to?" I teased him.

"Stop being a hard-headed, can you? Give it to me." He said firmly.

"No i'm not, ayoko." Pagmamatigas ko.

Hindi naman ako hard-headed ah? I just want to help him! Anong masama do'n? Soft-hearted pa nga ako kung tutuusin e'.

"By the way, I have a proposal." I immediately said bago pa ito makaalis.

"Proposal your face," pang babara niyang muli sa'kin.

"Pwede bang magseryoso ka muna?! Kasi ako, matagal nang seryoso sa 'yo!" Diretso kong saad at huli na nang mapagtanto ang sinabi.

Tsaka ko lang na-realize ang mga sinabi ko nang mapansin kong nagulat siya at natigilan ng bahagya.

"Just kidding, hehehe. Trip ki kasi mag joke ngayon, sis." I quickly defended myself and tried to laugh, but it seemed fake!

"Hindi tayo talo,"

"Yeah I know, tsaka ikaw napaka assuming mo rin e' ano? I already said it's just a joke!" I defended myself again.

"Whatever,"

"Listen first kasi muna!" Animo'y bata kong sigaw sa kaniya.

"What is it?" He took a deep breathe at hinarap na ako ng tuluyan.

"A-ang alin?"

"Tsk, the proposal!" Naiinis niyang sambit. Tila nauubusan na ng pasensya.

His jaw clenched.

"Oh! The proposal? 'Yang a-ano k-kasi," I didn't know how to say it!

"Faster, time is running." Pagmamadali niya sa 'kin.

"E-eeh a-aano... 'di ba you're ga-" I didn't finish my sentence as he cut me off again.

"You already know the answer," he shortly said.

Oo na bakla kana nga, nililinaw lang e'. Baka sakali lang naman na magbago dahil sa kamandag ko, pero parang wala nang lunas diyan sa kabaklaan mo tss.

"Well, my proposal is this, I can help you with Dave. I can set up a date for you two if you want, to bring you closer to each other and who knows, you might end up together?" I started explaining.
