CHAPTER 6

I woke up early because it's Sunday and I need to attend Mass. Today is also our dance practice.

I woke up at 5:30 A.M even though the Mass doesn't start until 6:30 A.M. I move slowly, so it's better to wake up early to avoid looking haggard.

I went through my morning routine. After taking a shower and getting dressed, I fixed my face. I just wore red dress.

"Breakfast is ready, baby!" Mommy knocked on my door.

"Okay, Mommy, I'm coming!" I replied.

I immediately went downstairs and sat at the dining table.

"Mmm, it smells delicious!" I said as I smelled the food on the table.

"Well, your Mommy cooked it," Mommy boasted about her cooking and winked at me.

After eating, I brushed my teeth. Then I went back up to my room and fixed my face again because it got wet earlier while eating.

After that, I went downstairs and grabbed my backpack, na naglalaman ng spare clothes in case I sweat or get my clothes dirty.

I just waved goodbye to Mommy because the Mass is about to start, and I still have to travel for 15 minutes.

I arrived at the church at 6:25 A.M.

"Chloe, over here!" Hannah called me and pointed to the space beside her.

I sat next to her, and the Mass started.

"Hannah, have you seen Ion?" I asked.

I've been looking around for Ion, but I still can't see him. We have our dance practice now, and I don't know where their house is!

"Huh? No, I haven't. Why do you ask?" She asked me in return.

"Remember we have a dance performance in PE? We're supposed to meet here, but I don't know where they are." I explained.

Hindi na muli nagtanong pa si Hannah dahil nga bawal ang maingay dito sa simbahan.

Nang matapos ang simba ay lumabas na kami.

"Sure ka ba na dito kayo magtatagpo tagpo?"

I nodded and texted my other groupmates. None of them are online!

"Chloe... Uhm, I need to go home now. I'm sorry I won't be able to wait with you." Hannah sincerely said with a worried expression. I noticed her hand trembling as she held her umbrella.

"It's okay, take care!" I said and waved goodbye to her.

It's already 8:50 A.M., and there are only a few people left near the church.

I felt a few drops of rain, so I took shelter in a nearby waiting shed.

"N-nasan na b-ba kasi kayo?" Naiiyak na ako.

I'm getting cold. The roof of the waiting shed is full of holes, so I'm starting to get wet.

I sat at the edge where I won't get wet from the rain, and there, I hugged myself.

"Oh,"

Nakita ko si Ion, basang basa siya. May hawak siyang payong at jacket.

Hinanap niya ba ako? Pero bakit naman niya ako hahanapin?

Hindi nalang ako nag-inarte at tinanggap ang jacket niya. Tutal eh lamig na lamig na din naman ako kahihintay sa kanila.

"W-where were you? I've been looking for you guys," I couldn't speak properly because I was so cold.
