"It isn't that big of a deal, Anakin," You said, watching him pace the floor.

He turned to you with a frown, his hand resting on the handle of his lightsaber. You hated that habit of his, but he could only relax when it was in his hand- even when it was just the two of you alone in a room. "Isn't that big of a deal? Y/N, he harasses you to no end. If you won't deal with him, at least let me do it myself."

"It's not as easy as that!" You exclaimed, becoming frustrated with him. "He's my boss, and you promised that no one would find out about us. How's it gonna look when Anakin Skywalker comes down to a random pilot, and shouts at him for flirting with a random crew member?"

"But you're not random; you're the love of my life," Anakin said, his words warming your heart despite the context of the argument. "And I'm not just gonna stand by and let him treat you like that."

"I'll talk to him, Ani," You said softly, walking over to him. Taking his hand in yours, you widened your eyes and gave him the look you knew he couldn't stay angry at.

"Okay," He whispered before placing a sweet kiss to your lips.

You felt bad for lying as you knew you weren't planning on saying anything to your boss. You guessed that you would have just had to learn to keep your mouth shut the next time he did or said anything weird, even if if meant keeping secrets from Anakin.

The next day, you got down to the hangar a little late seeing as Anakin wouldn't let you leave the bed. Your boss had a sly smile on his face as you rushed over to him, an apologetic look on your face. "I'm so sorry I'm late, Gio-Hidd, I accidentally overslept."

"Yeah yeah, I've heard every excuse in the book, Y/N," He said, rolling his eyes. "Nothing you say will be a good enough reason for the," He checked his watch before continuing, "Twenty-five minutes you missed which could have been used to get some valuable work done."

"I'll stay late; I'll take on some unpaid overtime," You said, desperate not to lose your job. Times were tough after Anakin and Obi-Wan had to rebuild the Empire that Palpatine almost destroyed, and you were already lucky in that you had a job at all. "I promise I'll never be late again."

"I know you won't," Gio-Hidd said with a smirk. "Your punishment is cleaning duty; get on the Purple Phoenix and get to work. It was taken out to Geonosis yesterday so the exterior is nice and muddy for you."

You hated cleaning duty. You were one of the most experienced and knowledgeable mechanics in the galaxy, so being forced to mop up sand and muck all day frustrated you to no end - and Gio-Hidd knew that.

Without arguing any further for fear of getting fired, you trudged away to where the Purple Phoenix was sitting towards the back of the hangar. Grabbing the cleaning tools from the supply area, you got straight to work on wiping down the wings.

It was tiring and boring, and a few hours later when your colleagues were heading out on their lunch break, you still hadn't even done half the work.

You hopped down from the ladder you were using to reach the top of the ship and were immediately faced by Gio-Hidd who had his arms folded across his chest and a raised eyebrow.

"Ah ah ah, where do you think you're going?" He asked as everyone else rushed out.

You glanced around before responding, "Uh, lunch?"

He let out an unnerving chuckle. "No, Y/N. No lunch for you until the Phoenix is clean. Master Fova wishes to fly it first thing tomorrow morning when the Council go down to Naboo, so it needs to be clean before the end of your shift tonight. And by the looks of it, you still have a long way to go."
