68: Picnic

Hindi na mabilang ni Nyssa kung pang-ilang buntong hininga na niya iyon. In fact, this maid na kasama ni Celine ay kanina pa siya sinasamaan ng tingin but she just ignored her.

"You wake her up." Maru said then glared at Jin.

These past few days, nagtago lang sa Void si Maru. But today, she decided to come out.

Nagulat naman si Jin when he found her in Nyssa's room.

"Bakit?" Nyssa groggily asked him. She attempted to sit pero pinigilan siya ni Maru.

"Remain lying on the bed. Just continue resting."

Doon naman napansin ni Jin na namumutla si Nyssa.

"Anything wrong, Ana?" He worriedly asked.

Nyssa shook her head but Maru's glare towards him contradicted her.

"Jin, I thought you are sensible. Kahapon, she almost depleted her spirit energy para lang sa experiment niyo. But you keep on being distracted. Then today, Anastasia told you she needed rest. But you still pulled her outside.

"She gets sick because of your insensitivity towards her. How do you plan to explain this to Toby if he were to find out?"

"Come on, Maru. Don't blame Jin." Nyssa simply told her.

Maru rolled her eyes. "Kaya ka naaabuso dahil sa kakaganyan mo."

"Abuso? Who dares to do so?"

"Maru is right. I was insensitive. Akala ko kasi hindi ka sanay na nasa bahay lang kaya naman you look pale lately. I thought if I let you go out with me, you would absorb enough spirit energy.

"I am sorry, Ana. I should have paid more attention to your well being."

Nyssa waved her hand to dismiss his words.

"Don't listen to Maru. I simply need rest. You don't need to feel conscience because of it."

"Really, I am..."

"Maru, see what you've done." Nyssa even glared at the bird but Maru just equally glared at her.

Mas lalo namang nakunsensya si Jin dahil sa pagtatalo ng dalawa.

"Seriously, okay nga lang ako. I just need rest. Ilang araw lang na tulog to okay na ako ulit."

Jin sighed.

"Babawi ako, promise."

"Tch, Jin... Why don't you listen?"

The next days, Jin stayed a lot beside Nyssa.

Maru couldn't go out kapag lalabas ng kwarto si Nyssa kaya naman si Jin ang sumasama sa kanya.
