A Thousand-Year Old Prophecy

170: D-Day

Months later...

"The Dark Guild has reached the Northern River." This was the report which reached the United Cultivator's side that morning which only made them sigh.

Kung sila lang ay ayaw nilang matuloy ang malaking labanan na ito sa pagitan nila at ng Dark Guild. But the other side was determined to destroy all those who opposed them. And so, they could only be determined to survive too.

In fact, the attacks of the Dark Guild had begun a month ago. They started by attacking the Southern Island. Obviously, they wanted to surround completely the Central Island without any chance of getting reinforcement from the other remaining island who hadn't been engulfed by their guild.

Fortunately, Jin, Adam and Khalil had gone home years ago after predicting the great possibility of the enemy attack towards the Southern Island. With the three of them, Jin's father, the Governor of whole Southern Island, summoned all the head tribes in their island including the Meridius Sun Tribe to urge everyone to contribute. Kaya noon pa lamang ay maaga na nilang naihanda ang mga dapat ihanda kung sakaling umatake sa kanila ang Dark Guild at para na rin sa pagsuporta nila sa paparating na malaking labanan. They were even able to round up all the spies and those people who was already supporting the Dark Guild from their Island.

"Once they cross the river, the war will begin." Wayne said with a grimace.

Those words were hard to say out loud. However, someone needs to verbalize it to make everyone aware that the dreaded war was already here.

No one spoke after that but all of them were thinking and feeling the same.

First was anxiousness.

Turned to fear for their lives... for their love one's lives.

Then resignation to what was coming.

And finally...

Resolution to fight with their everything come what may the end of this.

Alexandra commanded everyone to go to their respective units. They may be outnumbered but... this was their home turf. They once won a war here against the Dark Guild. Another one might occur again if they took advantage of this fact.

She assumed her spot next to Zaki.

Compared to the last war in Central Cloud School, their roles and positions this time were very clear to each of them. Thanks for years long planning of theirs.

And in this front line was where she and the others belong.

"Is the silly girl still not here?" Raqie, who was on her other side, asked.

She let out a sigh and shook her head.

After that, both ladies looked at the direction of Central Tower.

"She will join us any time." Toby simply said.

"Un... How can she not join the fun?" Maru added sarcastically, even rolling her eyes.

"Right, right..." Vina agreed.

"Do you think she hides herself because the lightning ordeal has barbequed her well?" Naomi asked with a chuckle.

"You think so? I think she loses face so much that day that she won't even dare to show it now." Alexandra agreed right away.

The others just chuckled.

Of course, no matter what, these top bullies of Nyssa would still find an opportunity to trash talk her.

Unfortunately, right now, the latter couldn't defend herself against them.

Since surviving the ninety-nine lightning strikes of her tribulation after she helped the activation of the Guardians' bloodlines, she entered the Void unconsciously and was still not coming out.

Maru and Leon could not enter the Void. However, because of their soul contracts with Nyssa, they could tell that she was fine and had simply gone into deep cultivation in there. And if their calculation was correct, she would wake up any time soon and join them with this war.

Well, they were certainly right about that calculation.

And when that soon came, they were all shock out of their wits.

"Do you really have to keep bad mouthing me now? Why don't you reserve that acid mouths of yours to the enemies? Alam niyo na, maiba lang..."

Nyssa remarked bitterly. Obviously, she felt aggrieved upon hearing their insults as soon as she came out from the portal above them.

"Nyssa!" People called upon seeing her. She nodded at them but glared towards Alexandra and those who were trashtalking her moments ago.

Meanwhile, those people she glared at were also ecstatic when she finally appeared. What a relief! They really thought she would not come out from her deep cultivation until the war started. Anyhow, they kept away their happy expression right away, most especially, Alexandra, Raqie and Maru. The three of them scoffed and looked away from her.

As for Toby and Vina, they couldn't stop smiling as they stared at her. While Naomi just chuckled.

Hmph! They were not even guilty for joining the Big Three of her bullies earlier.

Anyway, Nyssa couldn't continue feeling aggrieved because the elders came to her.

"I see you have gained a lot this time from your deep cultivation." The Great Elder from Central Authorities said with a smile. She quickly put her hands together in front of her as respect to them.

"Not just from the deep cultivation. It is actually all from the activation of the Guardian's bloodlines as well as the Lightning Tribulation."

"No matter what, your advancement is our side's fortune." The Headmaster of Central Cloud said afterwards, he looked at Alexandra. "Since Nyssa is already here, we should begin the march now too."

"Ah, Great Elder, Headmaster..." Nyssa intervened before Alexandra could have spoken. "I know everything has been set. However, I'd like to give a personal present to my beloved twin sister as soon as she and her people cross the river. Would you let me have the first fun?" She asked with a sheepish smile on her lips.

Nagkatinginan ang mga elders while Alexandra frowned at her, probably wondering what she up to this time. But she ignored them and simply gave a pleading look towards the two men who had the most authoritative power here.

The two ended up chuckling.

"Go on then and have the first fun." The headmaster said.

"Don't forget to blow their minds too. Figuratively and literally." The Great Elder added.

When Nyssa heard this, she laughed loudly before bowing again to the elders.

After that, she teleported beside Maru and Jin, who had his eyes transfixed to her since she came out from the portal.

"I'll let you have the honor for this first fun." Before the two could even say anything, she already held their arms and the three of them had disappeared.
