Sawyer sounds like he's in pain. Sawyer hasn't noticed me, and I hide behind a tree. I watch as Sawyer is crouched on the ground, balling his eyes out. I've never seen Sawyer cry and seeing him so heart broken scares me. Something is wrong.

Sawyer calms himself down, he clenches the ground beside him and slowly gets up. I can hear him breathing heavy. He looks down at something he's holding and it's the watch. What is he doing?

He turns knobs, clicks it and a bright light emerges. I know no one can hear him screaming from the house, I didn't. But if he doesn't want anyone knowing he's here then he should hide further in the woods.

As soon as the lights brighten I know he's time traveling and I race after him. He sees me and his eyes widen. It's too late we're both engulfed in darkness and we appear somewhere unknown.

Sawyer quickly pulls me to a small space.

"What the hell are you doing here?" He whisper yells and pushes me back against a wall. He is angry, beyond angry. I stand frozen, never seeing Sawyer this angry. He's looking behind me, his jaw tightens as he does.

"I saw flashing lights." I whisper, afraid that if I speak louder it would somehow make Sawyer angrier than angry.

Sawyer doesn't seem to be paying attention to me as his attention is on something else. I try turning to see what he's looking at. He sees me trying to take a look and stops me.

"You saw flashing lights? Are you fucking kidding me? You shouldn't fucking be here." The vein on his neck pops out.

"Stop. Why are you angry? I thought we travel in time as a team? Isn't it our secret?" I try reminding him, but he shudders in anger.

"If I didn't call you, I didn't need you. You don't know half the shit that is going on, Opal." He snaps. He looks down at me, but his attention is somewhere else.

"Fine. I will mind my own business. I'll remember that the next time you need me." I say equally as harsh.

"Highly unlikely." Sawyer snorts, if I had known he'd react like this then I would have stayed home. I'm about to defend my honor when I hear my voice. Why the hell am I hearing my voice?

"What is that?" I question and Sawyer glares down at me.

"What is what?" He counters, playing dumb. I know he heard whatever I heard.

I push him out of the way and run off somewhere. He yells for my name but I'm too far ahead. I don't want to be hanging out with angry Sawyer. I'm just as angry as he is by this point.

I follow the voices I'm hearing and stop dead in my tracks, when I think I see me. I hide in the shadows in a small room.

The person I'm watching is me. I'm in shock to see me standing a few feet away from me. I'm confused. I thought we could only go back in time not the future. Now I'm really angry at Sawyer for lying to me.

Future me looks shocked. I take notice to what she's looking at, blankets and pillows on the ground. There are toys everywhere, just tossed on the floor. A children's room in a hospital. This place doesn't look or feel like a hospital.

A light flickers behind me and future me turns my way. I duck behind the wall, thankful for the darkness. I look different, older of course. My hair is longer, curlier.

"I know you're following me." Future me says out loud and my heart sinks. Did she hear me? She couldn't have. Did she see me?

I watch as Sawyer walks in, smiling as he sees her. I look at Sawyer confused. He looks the same.
