Chapter23-Worst one month annuversary

Elana's P.O.V.

"Carl stop!" I giggle as Carl kisses me all over my face to wake me up. "Are you up now?" He asks and. I nod "Very!" i say and Carl smiles. "Good." he says as he lays his head on my chest. "happy one month." Carl says and I sigh. "Its been a tough one month." I say and Carl frowns "But we made it and love each other that's what matters." I say and Carl smiled. "I got Rick to get your something for me." I say and go to my bag. I grab a silver necklace that was a heart locket. " your dad said it was for your great grandmother.He also said how it was the only thing you had left of her and you loved her dearly" I say and hand him the necklace. Carl smiles "Elana. This is perfect!" Carl says then looks at me "My granother gave it to me when I was five right before she passed away. She said to give it to someone I knew I loved. The person I would want to be with forever, get married, have children with." Carl passed "But that doesn't seem very possible anymore, but there is still this one girl I would hope I got to do that with." Carl says and pats the bed we were laying down on before. I sit down and he puts he necklace on me. "And your that girl." Carl whispers to me in my ear. I kiss him and he falls back onto the bed. I got on top of him and the cold silver necklace grazed his neck. He kissed me harder with and I pulled away then looked across the room to where Madie was sleeping. "Make sure to stay quite" I whisper and lay down on Carl's stomach. I draw little shapes on his right arm. "I got you something else." I say and pull out a silver chain with a lighting bolt charm on it. "Babe this is so cool!" Carl says with a smile then slips it over his head. He kisses my lips quickly. "Now I got you something." Carl says then grabs something out of his pocket. It was a ring. It was a old plain silver band that was until Carl flipped it around to how it was suppose to be. It had words engraved in it. "C plus E." i say and smile. "I love it." I say and smile.Carl slips it on my middle finger where t fit best. "Carl..... it's so pretty." I say still staring at the ring "No ones ever given me a ring before not even my mom." I say and Carl smiles "Well I'm glad I'm your first." Carl says and kisses my lips. I giggle and he smiled into the kiss. I pulled away "Lets go outside." I say and walk over to Madie. "Sweet. Wake up." I say and pick her up. She yawns and opened her eyes. "Hi nanny." She says and I smile. "Carl!" She says and opened her arms towards him. Carl walked over to me and grabbed Madie. She laid her head on his shoulder and I smile. "Come on." I say and we go outside. Me and Carl sat on the porch as Madie played in the dirt trying to look for worms. I laid my head on Carl's shoulder then Lori walks up to us. "We may have to leave." Lori says and I stand up. "What? No! why?" I ask "There's walkers in the barn." Lori says "I'm not leaving until we find Sophia!" I say and Carl sands up "I...I don't want us to leave with out Sophia. We can't and we aren't." Carl says and Lori sighs "If worse comes to worse we have to." Lori says and I go to smack her but Carl pulls me back "We are not leaving my baby sister out here alone and scared!" I yell at the top of my lungs. "Elana. Baby we aren't leaving her." Carl says and sits down on the porch with me as I start to cry. "I miss her so much." I cry and hide my face in my hands "I should be the one missing not her! I should be the one out there!" I cry and Carl pulls me into his lap. "Shh it's okay babygirl. We'll find her." Carl whispers as I cry harder. "Im so sorry Sophia." I cry as Carl tried calming me down. "What happened?" I hear Daryl ask. "Sophia." is all Lori had to say for Daryl to scoop me up and tell me how everything would be okay. "I promise I'm trying my best." Daryl says and I sniffle. "You shouldn't be crying. Isn't today you and Carl's one month anniversary?" Daryl asks and I nod. He put me down next to Carl. "Then don't worry because I will find her." Daryl says and I nod. Carl wrapped his arms around my waist. "We will find her." Carl whispers. I start to hear Shane yelling. We both stand up and walk over to the yelling which was at the barn. "This is a danger to us Rick!" Shane yells. "We have to kill them!" Shane yells and opened the latches to open the barn.We all new what was coming next. "Carl.Madie." I say and grab his arm. Madie runs towards me. She hugs my leg as I wrap my arm around her shoulder. Shane pulled out a gun and shot a walker in the chest. "Nanny!" Madie cries "Carl make your dad stop him!" I hiss as Shane starts talking about how he shoot in in the heart and shouldn't still be alive. I hug Madie and Lori runs over to us. "Dad make him stop!" Carl yells. Lori pulls me and Madie close to her and Madie starts to cry. After several gun shoots to walkers head everything got quite but one groan. I stood up and ran towards Carl. I looked at the barn to only see the thing that made me cry instantly. She was amazing and sweet. Best sister you could ever ask for and now she was gone. The last walker to walk out of that barn was my little sister Sophia. "No!" I yell and start crying. I go towards her and Glenn grabs me by the waist. "No! Stop! Let me go! Sophia!" I yell. I start to kick and wiggle until I get out of Glenn's grasp and run over to Sophia. She was a walker. I couldn't believe it. She walked towards me and I started crying more. "Sophia I'm so sorry." I cry and Carl grabs me then pulls me away. Rick shoots her in the head and I fall to the ground. "No!" I cry and crawl over to her. "Im so sorry." I cry as my tears fall on her face. "I love you so much. You were the best sister anyone could have and I don't think I told you that enough and now I regret it so much!" I cry and move Sophia's hair out of her face as my mom runs over to Sophia. "Oh god!" My mom yells. "My beautiful little sister. I promise I'll be with you sooner or later. I love you so so much." i cry and Carl goes to pick me up. "Don't touch me!" I yell and hit his arm. "Im so sorry Sophia." I cry and Carl sits down next to me with tears running down his cheeks. "Come on we gotta go." Carl says while sniffling "Fuck you if you think I'm leaving her!" I yell "Baby. I know I don't want to leave her ether but we have to." Carl says and I look at him. "I don't have to say goodbye." I whisper and Carl shakes his head "No! Elana no!" He says "I could go with her. I can just do it." I say "No!" Carl says "Just let me do it!" I yell and cry harder which I didn't think was possible. "Come on let's get you inside baby." Carl says and picks me up off the ground. "She's gone. She's gone." I whispered over and over agin as I cried. Carl laid me down in bed and I just laid there not saying a word. Carl looked at me and I turned away and pulled a blanket over my head. "Get some res-" Carl says then Maggie cuts him off. "Don't leave her alone! She's gonna do it agin!" Maggie says and I feel Carl touch my shoulder. I pull away then Carl sighs "God damn it! Please not this agin!" Carl says and I look at him. I sit up "It's not my fucking fault my entire life is a fucking mess!" I yell and cover my head with a blanket then lay back down. "Its ether you let me die or I die of thirst or starvation!" I yell "Calm down." Carl says. I take the blanket off my head and stand up. "I just found my little sister as a fucking walker you dumbass! Don't te me to fucking calm down or I will beat the shit out of you!" I yell and Maggie grabs my arm. "Lay down." she says and I do. Maggie whispers something to Carl then leaves. Carl sits down
Besides me and I just kay there with my eyes burning from crying. "I love you babygirl and I'm so so sorry." Carl says and kisses my lips as his tears fall into my cheek. Today was the worst one month anniversary ever. I lost my sister and I just couldn't take anymore of this. I wanted to die, but I wanted to die lots of days so this isn't anything new. I wish I could've told Sophia how much she meant to me but I can't because she's gone forever.
