"Why are you working nga pala? And kailan ka pa nagsimula?" Sophia.

My cousin is on point! Kuhang kuha niya ang kanina ko pa gustong itanong.

"I started last Monday. Just for somethin'..." Prince answered without any interest.

What the heck is that 'something'?

"You are so hardworking pala." She commented in a very sweet voice.

"Is your work here every day?" Cindy.

"Nah." He chuckled nang napansin niya ang palihim dapat na pagsulyap ko sa kanya.

Damn, pasimple pala 'kong pinapanood ng mokong sa gilid ng mga mata niya! Mabuti at hindi nila 'yon napapansin. They're just too busy waiting for Prince's answers. Kaya nagpaka busy nalang din ako sa pagkain at panonood sa live band na tumutugtog sa harapan habang nakikinig sa kanila.

"What's your schedule then? So we can hang out like this again. You know naman, hindi na kami nakakasama sa inyo ever since Aldrei and Sophie broke up." Maggie.

Para namang seryoso yung past relationship nila kung makapag salita siya.

"This is my last day. I only needed to work for a week to fulfill one of my dreams." Prince.

Huh? He never mentioned about dreams of becoming a waiter or something to me.

"You are so passionate, Prince." Another compliment from my cousin.

Are they really satisfied with that answer? Why don't they try to dig deeper into it? I'm dying of curiosity here!

"I thought you're working? Ayos lang ba na uupo upo ka lang dito?" I asked a few moments after I got tired of their nonsense question and answer portion na wala namang patutunguhan.

"Your friend is rich, Adah. He doesn't need to work. I never even thought that 'work' is in your vocabulary, Prince. You were never the type, you know." Tawa ni Sophie.

"I'm done for today, I'll just continue the remaining hours tomorrow." Prince.

Oh. Okay. Ayoko nang itanong kung bakit. Ayokong malaman ang sagot.

"It's getting late. After this, uuwi na kayo?" He asked a few hours later.

Mag gagabi na rin kasi kaming dumating dito kanina.

"Yep." Sophia nodded.

"Great! Do you have a ride? I can call our driver, I'm sure makakarating 'yon kaagad." Prince.
