"L...Love?"
Nao's heart started beating faster.
Toru nodded meekly.
"It's apparent even in your face right now."
"W-What do you mean?"
Nao responded in a panic.
"Excuse me."
Toru took his phone from his pocket and tapped a button.
A flash blinded Nao for a split second,
and a shutter sound echoed through the empty hallway.
"Look."
Toru showed him the picture that he took.
In the photo, a small smile had escaped across Nao's lips.
Nao himself was shocked to see himself smiling.
Even more so because it was not an emotion that he was used to having.
"You see?"
Toru tapped his shoulder.
"Ah, well, why am I stopping you?"
He let go of Nao and kept his phone.
"You're on your way to her now, aren't you?"
He had a big smile on his face.
Toru put his hands on his pockets.
"You know, even though we've not talked for long,
I'm rooting for you, Nao."
There was a small sound of vibration.
Toru's phone.
"Well, that's that. Gotta go, now. Take care."
He started to turn and walk away, waving his hands.
Nao sighed, a tiny smile apparent in his face.
"…Thanks."
