The last bell sounded, signaling the dismissal of classes.

The birds outside flew quickly, as though startled by the sound.

Nao stood up and picked up his bag from his seat.

As the orange tint of the sun flushed away the color in the room, he sighed and started walking.

After all, today would just be like usual.

Outside the school, there would be students going home one after the other.

Nao smiled as he looked upwards.

"Clear skies…"

A tap on his shoulders returned him to reality.

"Yo, Nao. Off to see your wife again?"

The person was one of the people who he would talk to, though their conversations would last no longer than a minute.

His name was Miura Toru.

"...Um, wife?"
Nao murmured.

"Yeah! The one you always visit on the fields near the school." A wink appeared on the boy's face, seemingly trying to say something.

"...She's not my wife." He dismissed his words, looking away.

"Well then... if not, then I wonder if she'll be mine?"
A smirk revealed his intentions.

"ーDefinitely not!"

Nao shouted in retaliation, shocking the other students who were walking home.

"Why did I say that...?"
