Nao was taken aback by what she said.

It took him a moment to fully comprehend what she told him.

He could still feel the cold touch of her small, almost miniature hands.

The squeeze of her fingers brought him back to the present.

"...Nao? Was what I did too much?... I'm sorry for teasing you. I was just getting revenge for you laughing at me earlier!"

The look in her eyes were apologetic.

The gentle shadows of the trees moved around them, covering them with some shade.

"...Haha."

Nao couldn't help himself.

He couldn't stop himself from feeling silly.

"You know, for some reason,

I didn't know what to do if you had rejected me."

He laughed quietly.



"I was... scared."
