Internal conflict erupts.
Outwardly, I try my best to look presentable.
Breathing has become a challenge.
Today I awoke and didn't feel you, your emptiness, or any hint of your presence.
A trigger of your absence had me worried.
Sequestered, I went from feeling you to losing you in one night
Jest, that's all this is, I tell myself.
On the 'morrow your pain will return
Silence may still ring between us
Something, however, is better than nothing
Absence from you corrodes at my sanity
Only one day of this and I'm antsy
What I know is that I respect the silence but without your ember, even if it was tainted, my own chaos will conjure.
The lack of you will leave me with her
She will not be happy with me but I will be civil and the interaction will be suffice
Worry not, she will. Although, a concerned look will emit from her eyes
When that happens I will not meet them
And she will not be abashed nor surprised.
