Ikaw ang aking araw.
Ako ang iyong buwan.
Hindi mapipigilan ng distansya
ang ating pagmamhalan.Tatlong taong kasama ka
ay malapit ng dunating.
Pero gabi-gabi tayo ay napapalapit
sa araw ng aking pag-uwi.Sa bawat araw na lumipas

Na ak ay babalik sayo
Kahit na tayo ay may distansya

At hindi mo rin ako iniwan.Aking araw, ako ang iyong buwan.

You are my sun.
I am your moon.
Distance will not stop our love.Three years with you
Are soon to come
Only time will seem to drag
But every night we come closer To the day that I come homeWith each passing day
The sun will shine
And every night the moon
Will light up the skyThese are signs for us to know
That I will return to you
Despite our physical distance.
I never left you
And you never left meMy sun, I am your moon
These are symbols of the light in our love-
About the content:
This was an assignment issued by my Filipino teacher. That teacher frustrates me to no end due to the fact that the concept of my lack in the language is obsolete. They do not understand that I did not have the chance to learn Filipino. So they give me assignments like following.
The assignment: Write a love letter to your girlfriend back home.
How can I write a love letter when I dont understand how to structure sentences?
Anyway. This was translated by a good friend of mine. A.K.B. I call her Kiki. Without her help. I wouldn't be making the bare minimum in this class.
