When I wake I taste you
My heart yearns for you
Then reminds me,
You, are in fact- long gone.
My reach goes for my cellphone,
The messenger opens up and I begin to type
Then I remember,
You. Have been gone. And won't return.
The pain seeps into my heart
One moment, I was in love,
The next, I stayed in love
But you, you were gone.
My body withdraws
The tears come
What was it that broke us apart?
My repression refuses to let me know
When asleep, I dream of you.
The nightmares, they're also of you.
When I wake, all that is left
Are nightmares
