As I prepare to leave this place. I realize I will miss it.
Despite the struggles I've made
Friends have also come into my path.Two are true from the school I seek.
And soon, I will leave them.
But not forever.Because in my eyes friends are family.
They are closer than blood.
Being in the homeland has opened up my eyes to which family members are trueHowever, my vision is not blurred.
I was not blind before I landed in this country
And now, I can only see more.Through my perspective friends are closer than blood
And blood is thick
But friendship is thicker.
In my book of life, that will always be the truth.
