In person you make my heart flutter
All I would hope is to be yours one day
But in person you don't talk down to me
Online you are silent
You intrigue me and I wish we could be something one day
Because my dreams like to play a mind game with me
It tells me that one day we're meant to be
But those are dreams and this is reality
What would be easier is if you'd give me a straight answer
Tell me that you have no interest in me
In person you smile and look at me
But when I try to speak to you through the phone I feel that I'm on mute
So I'm confused.
Long ago I asked you if I ever crossed your mind
You said "sometimes"
When you feel anxious, when you feel depressed. If you've ever felt not positive about yourself
Does it occur to you that I think you're perfect?
Even your imperfection in your eyes
Is simply a unique feature to me.
