Your POV:

I sighed from talking to Kokichi. I walked out of the room slowly without a word. I was deep in thought about the conversation we just had. Something did strike me odd in the conversation.

'Did say that he wants to break me?' I thought to myself.

I looked down slightly, still thinking about it. While I was thinking, someone suddenly tapped me on my shoulder, snapping me back into the real world. That person was Rantaro. I slowly lifted my head so I could look at him. He smiled kindly at me which made a blush spread through me like wild fire.

"Hey are you alright? You seem deep in thought," Rantaro explained with a slight chuckle.
"Y-Yeah! I'm fine!" I exclaimed, "you don't need to worry."

I looked around slightly to keep myself from getting too deep into thought again. I noticed a staircase that supposedly led to a lower floor than the one Rantaro and I were on. It had the same pattern as the other staircases. I walked up to the staircase.

"It looks like these stairs lead to the basement," I said, "what should we do? You wanna head down?"
"I dunno... The basement might be dangerous for you. This place is full of mysteries," Rantaro replied.
"Then let's proceed with caution! With you at the front!" I exclaimed.
"So you want me in the front... I see." Rantaro replied nervously.

Rantaro almost naturally went down the staircase, leading the way with no fear present in his actions or expressions. I smiled lightly following him down. We both went down, the only thing heard was the echo of our footsteps.

Once we got downstairs, I observed the surroundings carefully. Wires hung from the ceiling, and there was less vegetation than in the other rooms. The floors were a gray linoleum and the walls were gray with what looked like to be scratch marks on them.

"It doesn't *look* very dangerous to me..." I muttered.
"Ah, well...some dangers are hidden where you can't see," Rantaro replied causally.
"Rantaro...you have quite the imagination, don't you?" I asked in response.
"No, I just think you're not considering how dangerous this could be..." Rantaro replied with a serious look.
"Yeah maybe," I laughed nervously, "but we should look around the basement, too. There might be an exit. Oh, but we should be careful."
"Yeah you're right." Rantaro replied with a slight chuckle.

I looked to my right and saw a door. I decided to walk that way. Upon closer inspection, the door read "Library".

"Hey Rantaro. There might be someone in there!" I exclaimed, pointing at the library.
"Yeah. You might be right. We can even look for manga because of your otaku talent,"
Rantaro replied.

I nodded eagerly and walked into the library. As soon as I opened the door, I gagged from the musty smell of old books.

"So this is a library..." I muttered.
"There are books all over the place... It doesn't seem very organized," Rantaro replied.
"Oh, does that bother you? Are you a neat-freak, Rantaro? Do you have OCD?" I asked teasingly.
"No, it's just... I was wondering if someone was using it before us," Rantaro replied.
"Huh? Someone?" I asked.
"Ah, It's nothing. Let's just investigate for now," Rantaro replied.

I nodded in response. I looked around the library and noticed many piles of books littering the floor. There was also a black and blue globe that was spinning on its own in the room. I found that quite odd.

I noticed that on top all of the book shelves had many books crammed there. One of the book shelves didn't have a pile of books on top which struck me odd.
