Your POV:

We've unlocked two areas so far that the prizes unlocked. We've unlocked Rantaro and Kaito's Ultimate Labs, scaling from the fifth floor, to the first, and having to climb a large amount of stairs just to get there.
Now, now we were outside in front of a large door that I just unlocked with the second key. I honestly had no idea what the place we unlocked was, but I knew I would soon find out. Everyone in the group seemed to be questioning what this new area was, but there was only one way to find out.
The only way to find out was to walk into the new area. Rantaro held onto my hand as our group walked through the unlocked door that led to a new area that not many of us even understood. The area looked very big, so there was no telling how long we would be in there for.
As soon as Rantaro and I walked inside of the new area, we were greeted with slight blue light, and the sheen of metal radiating around us. The room gave me a sci-fi vibe, as well as the impression of trying to protect something that wasn't human. Despite having that feeling, I had no idea where I was.
"What is this place...?" I asked.
"Honestly, this place gives a feeling of a sci-fi movie," Rantaro replied.
"I get that vibe too," Keebo replied, "a mecha could pop out at any moment..."
"If a mecha tries anything, I'll reprogram it to do my bidding!" Miu shouted, "a sex mecha! Who has thought of such an invention!?"
"No one..." Ryoma muttered.
I let out a small sigh as I turned my head looking around. I was trying to stay focused despite the comments being made by Miu. Keebo however was right about the scientific vibe this area gave. From what I've seen of the inside this far, this area was a lot bigger than any floor we've discovered. It had to be.
"We should start looking around," Kaede stated, "this area looks big, so we might be here awhile."
"I-I agree," Shuichi replied, "if we look around here, we could gather clues on what this place could be."
I knew Shuichi and Kaede were right about that. I felt my hand get squeezed gently, and in response to that, I looked up at Rantaro. He was smiling gently at me as if to ease my nerves. As this happened, the people with us were discussing how we should go about looking around this area.
"Perhaps we should just go wherever this hallway takes us," Rantaro stated, "there's no use on thinking about how we will proceed with this area, yeah? We should just go wherever this area takes us."
I nodded lightly in response to Rantaro's words. He was basically telling everyone to just roll with wherever this investigation would take us. He didn't want everyone to be worried on how to investigate. We were going to investigate wherever this area took us. Everyone seemed to be less stressed when Rantaro said those words.
We all found ourselves going through the twist and turns of this area. It felt like I was walking through a mecha bunker in an anime. The only difference was how dull the materials and lights were here, aside from the clean finish the anime's would use. This whole area gave me anxiety. Everything in here was quiet...
"This is...different from the others we've seen so far," Keebo explained as he walked, "and this maze-like hallway... Perhaps it's to defend the building that it leads to?"
Perhaps Keebo was right about that. This area was like a maze to walk through. Chances were that this was a security measure for what awaited further inside. This place was intimidating. The feeling of not knowing what laid inside here was kinda unsettling.
We slowly walked into a small opening. Looking up, I saw rust colored pipes seemingly having a triangle pattern over the ceiling. I was new to this type of area I was in. It was unsettling to say the least. I could hear everyone's footsteps echo through the halls as we walked through the halls.
"This place kinda has a weird feeling, yeah?" Rantaro asked, "it seems that this place is a lot bigger than I thought."
"I agree," Kirumi replied, "I think there's something very important in this building."
As we walked, I knew we were getting farther in. Conversation started to keep the atmosphere a little more light. While people were conversing, I was silently looking around. Everything looked similar to the beginning. The hallways, and the same type of open area. This building was like a maze. I felt like I was losing brain cells from trying to figure out where I was in this building.
After a few minutes of walking around this maze of a building, I noticed something in the distance. It looked to be a small square of greenish light shining through the dull blue light my eyes were used to. I was walking with Rantaro, so I stayed with his pace, slowly getting closer to the new source of light.
Soon enough, we got to the new source of light. Looking closer, it looked like it was a window. The wall this window was on was different from the building before. Maybe this was the area of importance to this area. It took a little bit to even reach this point.
"Why is there a window here...?" I asked.
"Perhaps we've found the area we were walking to get to," Rantaro replied, "even if it's not, we shouldn't give our hopes up. There could be something important here."
"Nyahahaha!" Angie exclaimed, "Atua says that we are getting close to an area with important findings! We should keep moving!"
"Can you shut the fuck up, you stupid fuckin' cult leader!?" Miu shouted.
"Nyahahaha!~Atua's words show no bounds!" Angie laughed in response, "listen to him unless you want him to release his holy wrath on you."
"Heeeee!" Miu exclaimed, "you're still a creepy little fuck..."
"We should probably focus on the investigation," Kaede stated, "we shouldn't be arguing right now."
"I-I agree," I replied, "if we fight, it's just going to cause more stress on everyone."
"That is true..." Ryoma muttered, "so why don't we just focus on seeing what we can find here."
"Fine," Miu muttered.
Everyone was in agreement to focusing on what we were doing at hand. Our group walked past the open window, down another hall, but this time it was different. Instead of seeing this maze of a building repeat itself, we actually managed to go into a bigger opening.
That wasn't the only difference however. As soon as we got into the area with a bigger opening, there was something I noticed. There was what looked like a garage door, but the door was glowing a light blue with what looked like some sort of force field on it. Chances were, this was a barrier keeping us from seeing whatever was on the inside of that door.
"This shutter is huge..." Kaede muttered in awe.
"...It seems to be well fortified," Keebo replied, "that is...an electric barrier. We can't raise the shutter while it's active."
"If that's the case, then chances are they are protecting something very important, yeah?" Rantaro asked, "I'm guessing what lies behind here is the secret we were trying to find."
"Perhaps we should investigate a way to get in then," Shuichi replied.
Part of me was slightly disappointed at this moment. We came all this way through a maze of hallways, just to see that there was a shutter with an electrical barrier. I wondered if there was even a way to get in.
My eyes glanced once again to the shutter when I saw something that started me. Keebo was approaching the shutter. I had a bad feeling about what was happening right now. I felt like something terrible was going to happen.
"Keebo, it's dangerous!" I exclaimed, "please don't get any closer—"
Before I could finish my sentence, the shutter started to flash red, and make a loud noise. In other words, when someone got closer to the shutter, there was an alarm to notify Monokuma. The noise was so loud that I found myself clenching my eyes shut, as well as having a tight hold on Rantaro's hand.
In the midst of having my eyes clenched shut, I could hear Keebo's shocked voice asking what this was. Shuichi was trying to tell Keebo to get away from the shutter, but he was cut off.
As the alarm kept sounding off, I could make out the familiar sound of Monokuma popping up. I slowly opened my eyes, getting used to the loud sound of the alarm, but as soon as I did, I noticed Monokuma there, and he looked pretty ticked off. Maybe it was because we set off an alarm we didn't know even existed...
"Oh my!" Monokuma exclaimed angrily, "tsk, tsk, tsk! Don't you go setting off the alarm now! C'mon, c'mon, outta the way so I can turn off that alarm."
Monokuma was obviously very annoyed with us right now. Right now, that anger was directed at Keebo because he decided to try to find a way to open the shutter. The horrid sound of the alarm continued to beep as we all witnessed Keebo quickly get away from the shutter. Keebo looked terrified because of what happened. I couldn't help but feel bad.
Monokuma went from yelling at Keebo, to scolding the rest of us. He was saying that we had to be more careful. I was wondering why. I had no idea if Monokuma even realized that we had no idea what this alarm system was protecting. Shuichi asked Monokuma what the alarm system was for, but Monokuma just said it was an alarm system. I had no idea what he meant by that, but I felt like I would soon.
Soon enough, our group was asked if we could see a motion sensor above the shutter. Monokuma was the one asking the question, and I found myself gazing above the shutter. The lights that were shining red before were now green. This led me to believe that the motion sensor was those lights.
There was another thing that was explained to us during this time. The shutter alarm could only be turned off by a remote control. Monokuma had that said remote control as he explained how to turn the alarm off.
I was now starting to understand what was going on now. We couldn't get past this shutter without turning the system off. Monokuma said as much too. If we tried to get past the shutter barrier again, the alarm would just noise off again. My only question was why there was a need for security like this.
"Monokuma, I hope you don't mind if I ask you something," Rantaro stated.
"Fire away, playboy!" Monokuma exclaimed in response.
"Why is there an alarm system here?" Rantaro asked, "I'm guessing there's something you're trying to protect, yeah?"
"Puhuhu..." Monokuma laughed, "you really have a knack for guessing important matters. In any case, you're right. This place is so important that it needs beefed up security. I guess while I'm here, I'll also explain that electric barrier."
"Then by all means, explain it," Rantaro told the bear.
We all knew that something was being protected in here. Monokuma begrudgingly made his way to something that looked like a glowing panel. Seeing the light the panel glowed, I assumed it was something connected to the electrical barrier.
"To turn it off, you gotta enter a 59-digit code in the control pattern next to the shutter," Monokuma explained, "I'll tell you what the code is, but only once. So make sure you memorize it."
'Is Monokuma messing with us right now...?' I thought.
Right after that thought went through my mind, I could hear a stream of numbers coming out of Monokuma's mouth. It seemed that he was serious about the fifty-nine digit code... He was saying the numbers way too quickly. I swear I could only make out the number five at the beginning. With sweat forming on my face, all I did was just stare blankly at Monokuma as he announced the numbers.
"Wait... slow down please!" Keebo exclaimed, "five zero three... what was the rest?"
"Only three numbers!?" Monokuma exclaimed angrily, "c'mon robot! I know you can do better than that!"
The motion sensor alarm on the shutter... An electric barrier on the shutter as well. What was Monokuma trying to closely guard? What could possibly need this much security when Monokuma was always in control. I knew we weren't going to be told willingly on the contents inside of this heavily guarded area.
"Like I said, this is a very important place," Monokuma exclaimed, "well... it used to be important, but that was a long time ago. Now it's just pointless."
I wondered what Monokuma meant by his last phrase, but that wasn't only what I was wondering about. Questioning the importance of this alarm system stayed inside of my head, so why did Monokuma answer a question I was asking myself. It was like he read my mind. It was either that, or he used whatever intuition he had to guess what I was questioning.
I wondered how this place was pointless. Monokuma was saying it was so pointless that he gave us the remote control for the alarm system. Monokuma pressed the button, the lights from the alarm system turning off. Monokuma was right... this remote did really take care of the alarm system. Monokuma then told us to use the control panel in order to get inside.
There however was a problem. That problem was the fact that Monokuma said the numbers so fast that we couldn't write it down or keep it locked in our memory. That was the issue, and Monokuma didn't notice that.
"How the hell are we supposed to use that code when you didn't even allow us to memorize it!?" Miu shouted.
"I'm still kinda upset I can't be the dirty one since Miu somehow came back," Monokuma muttered sadly, "but in any case, since this is your first visit, I'll let you inside just this once."
After Monokuma said that, he walked up to the control panel. I could hear what sounded like typing coming from the control panel, telling me that Monokuma was quickly punching in the code. As soon as the typing ceased, I could hear a loud sound coming from the shutter for a moment.
After that, I could see that the electrical barrier was fading away, revealing a shutter that could be lifted. I could feel myself grow relieved. We could actually take a look inside of this area, and that was something I didn't think we were going to be able to do. I guess I wasn't expecting to get in this guarded area so easily.
Monokuma told us that if we wanted to go in, we would have to manually raise the shutter. He also explained that we could use a control panel located inside of this area to restore the security system. Apparently, we could use the panel out here, or the panel inside of this shutter. The last thing we could do is just leave the security system off and try to investigate the area more than once.
After explaining everything he needed to say, Monokuma left, popping out of this building like he wasn't even there in the first place. I couldn't help but still feel unsettled about what just happened. It was like I was dreaming. Monokuma was actually being nice to us? What was his game for choosing to do this. Despite that, I knew we needed to do this.
"Come on guys," I said, "we should go in. It's not against the rules not to, so we don't have to worry about getting punished."
"(y/n) is right!" Keebo exclaimed, "we have no other direction to move but forward. For some reason, my inner subconsciousness is telling me to keep hope in my heart."
"The two of you are right," Rantaro stated, "let's go in and see what we can find."
I nodded lightly in response to that as everyone else in our group seemed to agree with our statements as well. There was now only one question on my mind. Who was going to lift the shutter?
    "Allow Gonta," Gonta told us.
Gonta walked up to the shutter with a serious look in his eyes. He bent over, placing his hands on the bottom of the shutter. In what seemed like the smallest possible amount of effort, the shutter lifted pretty quickly. That was Gonta's strength. As soon as Gonta was done lifting the shutter, he smiled at us while motioning for us to come in.
We all decided to enter when Gonta gave us the clear to do so. As soon as I entered the area Monokuma wanted to protect, I noticed the light color change to green and blue. The area was pretty open, pipes cascading the ceiling, showing of a slight reflection of the lights in the room.
Looking to the corner of my eye, I saw five all too familiar machines. Those machines were always told apart by the colors they had, blue, yellow, red, pink, and green. The exisals were here, and I felt my eyes widen. I could feel a sense of danger enter my body as I stared at the exisals. They weren't moving, but all five of them were there. If there was at least any chances of these machines coming after us, we needed to go.
I could hear the shocked voices of Gonta, Miu, Angie, Keebo, Tsumugi, Kaede, and Shuichi. I had no idea how Kirumi, Rantaro, and Ryoma were reacting, but I had a feeling they'd all either have a straight face or a slight shocked expression.
"All five of them are here!" Keebo exclaimed, "it's too dangerous! Let's run!"
I continued to stare at the exisals as Keebo was telling us to run away. After staring at them for a few more moments, I saw that the exisals weren't even reacting to our presence here. The lights weren't even on, so chances were... we were safe. That was what I was hoping for anyway.
"I think we are fine," Rantaro stated, "if Monokuma was trying to lead us into a trap, wouldn't it make more sense for the exisals to move? It looks like they aren't on."
"I agree," I replied, "I just wonder what's going on. My mind is wondering why the exisals are here."
After I said those words, when I thought we were done having visits from Monokuma, I guess I was wrong. I heard the sound of Monokuma popping up, joining us in this area where the exisals remained powered off.
"Ah-hahaha!" Monokuma laughed, "surprised? This is actually the Exisal Hanger! Yep, this is where the Exisals are stored."
I should've expected that this place was some sort of storage area for the Exisals. Hearing Monokuma say that made certain things link. This place was important to him, but it wasn't now because he continently sent the Monokubs on vacation. The Monokubs were the only ones who could pilot the Exisals, so it made sense on why Monokuma allowed us to investigate this area.
Monokuma explained that this was where he was guarding the big machines to keep us from touching them. Monokuma kept referencing how it was pointless now, and he even wore a gloomy expression while saying that.
"I kinda find it hard to believe that you would send those fuckin' cubs away!" Miu shouted, "maybe it's because I'm a lot better if a parent than your black and white ass!"
"Miu, you shouldn't shout," Shuichi stated, "plus, I think the only reason Monokuma is calling this area pointless is because he willingly sent his kids away. Because of that, no one can control the Exisals anymore."
"What!?" Monokuma shouted as sweat rolled down his fur, "no one can control them anymore!?"
"...Am I wrong?" Shuichi asked Monokuma in response.
Monokuma was sweating profusely as Shuichi asked that question. Honestly, from what Shuichi was saying, I found myself questioning what Monokuma's motives were. If he was so worried about being overthrown, then why did he send the Monokubs away? It didn't make any sense. It was like Monokuma was intentionally trying to seem like he's been getting weaker. I had no idea why.
In what seemed like an instant, Monokuma's nervous expression cleared away from his face, and he was telling us not to worry about his reaction. Saying that would just make us think about his reaction even more than we were now. Monokuma told us that he thought a somewhat over the top reaction would put us on the defensive. Technically, Monokuma achieved that by giving us that reaction.
Keebo seemed to get slightly worked up about the comment Monokuma gave, and Monokuma decided to mock him in response to that. Monokuma after he mocked Keebo, leaving us to investigate the now known Exisal bunker. Was that bunker that pointless without the Monokubs here? How long would it be before they came back. There were a lot of questions, but there weren't a lot of answers.
In any case, if the Monokubs were gone for now, then nothing is threatening us at the time being. If there was any time to attack Monokuma, now would be more or less the time. If we decided to go on that path, a lot of thinking would be necessary. We needed to proceed with caution. There was still a mastermind among us, and I think the lot of us had an idea who it was.
"So if the Exisals are out of commission for the time being, then I think we can turn this situation around," Rantaro explained, "we should think about our next move, but for now we should investigate."
"I agree," I replied, "for now, we need to focus on investigating."
"If that's the case, then we know what to do," Kirumi stated, "for now, let's investigate this bunker. Hopefully we can find some valuable information from this area."
"If everyone is in agreement, then I guess I'll go along with it," Ryoma stated.
"I fuckin' agree!" Miu shouted, "hell, I can probably tinker with those Exisals a bit. I wanna see everything these giant hunks of metal are made of. I wanna see how it works... what causes it to tinker away."
Miu had a blush on her face as she started talking about how she wanted to see the Exisals. I couldn't help but think Miu somehow was aroused by this. She always seemed to act that way when she was making comments about her body and what she's done with it.
I guess it did make sense on why she was acting this way. Miu was very genuine with her love of inventing. She was almost like Winry Rockwell from Fullmetal Alchemist, but a way more inappropriate version of her. Let's face it, the two would get along just by their love of machines if they ever met.
"Perhaps we should stop making such dirty comments and investigate," Tsumugi said, "and when I say *we*, I'm actually talking about Miu..."
"Shut the fuck up, four-eyes!" Miu shouted, "quit tellin' me what to do or I'll post shit about you on social media when we escape this hellhole!"
"Don't say anything about my neck!" Tsumugi exclaimed nervously in response, "why do you still remember that!?"
"Because I'm the queen of all things lewd and sexual!" Miu exclaimed, "ah-hahaha! After all I am a gorgeous girl genius! Guess it makes sense on why everyone wants a piece of me!"
'These guys, I swear...' I thought.
Let's just say, this investigation was going to be interesting...

Hey all, it's me! I'm sorry for cutting it off this short, but I did get to my weekly limit XD. I kinda thought it would be fun to add some Miu remarks because she is an icon.

With all of the scenes I have to write up, I still think chapter five is going smoothly. I do have bad news though. Next week will be the last week I update until fall semester classes are over. I'm switching from five hour classes to ten hour classes. I'll try and update if I have the energy, or maybe change the timing to a chapter every two weeks.

I know it's sad, but bear with me. For now though, I'm still here, and I'm ready to keep writing for the next week. We are at the Exisal Hanger, and this is gonna be fun! I hope you all have an amazing weekend! Ciao for now- yuki_no_fuyu
