Chapter - 12

Nandini's POV:

He called me in his cabin early in the morning and burdened me with so much work. Who else of course the one and only Manik Malhotra.

He told me to prepare everything for his upcoming party. I have to make a guest list, cards and have to help the decorators too so that everything would be done as he said.

"So much names! It's going on and on. When it will stop Argh!" I said as I kept typing the names.

The intercom rang and he said, "Come to my office."

I went there and he handed me a file. "They are the important people for our industry. U have to memorize their name and their face."

"Why?!" I frowned.

"Because u have to tell me who they are before I start talking with them."

"Why don't you memorize it when u are the one who will talk with them." I said narrowing my eyes.

"Because it's not my job to remember their name and I have works to concentrate rather than those stupid names." He said coldly.

"Fine. U didn't tell me if I have to include U - Industries in the guest list. Should I include or cut them out?" I asked.

"They are our rival and they have some connection with Mafia in France, Italy, India and so on. Though I don't want to but we have to invite them otherwise people will get more things to gossip about." He said looking back on his file.

"So I should Include them?"

"Why are u late in catching words?"

"Because u just started ranting didn't say the exact words."

"Go back to work." He snapped.  I made a face and went away.

I finished the guest list and help the decorators selecting things for the party. It was almost lunch time so I took the file and went to the cafeteria to have lunch.

I was eating my french fries and trying to memorize the names. There were so much of them that made it more difficult.

"Excuse me. Can I sit here?" I heard a voice and looked up.

A handsome male was standing in front of my table. I looked around and saw cafeteria was packed with employees.

"Sure. No problem." I said and he settled down.

"Hi, I am Maxwell. U can call me Max." he said.

"I am Nandini."

"So u are the assistant Murat sir gave his brother. Whole office know about you and all are excited to see how long u can bear with him." He said eating his lunch.

"Wow. I am famous." I giggle.

"yeah and people are betting about it too." he laughed..

After lunch we said goodbye and walked away. Max was really good but he could be quite flirty. Well I had fun.

I saw Manik standing in front of my cabin. I went towards him and he told me to follow him. I followed him and close the door.

"What were u doing?" He asked.

"Ah Having lunch." I answered.

"I gave u works to do but instead doing it, u are sitting in the cafe and flirting with my employee."  He said angrily. It made my temper flair.
