"I don't think I'd put up 250K to bail an "ex" out."
"Ex or not this is my child's father and I need him to be there. I need his support." Standing back up I walked over to the front desk. "How is Amaru Crooks' bail?"
"We're processing him now. Is there anything else you need, wifey?" The lady asked bored.
She smacked on her gum ferociously, probably thinking she was cute.
"Nothing, actually."
"Mmm. Next!" I held back a smart comment, walking back over to where Jayvion sat. He cooed into his phone.
Snatching it out his hand I focused in on his daughter who was being held by his baby's mother.
"Jay what in the- hey Symphoni! How are you?" Niah gushed while smiling at me genuinely.
"I'm hanging in there. Can't wait for Amora to get here."
"Kiari and her are gonna get along beautifully."
"I hope so." My eyes travelled up from Amaru's feet all the way to his face. Even though he stared at Jayvion with a mug I still smiled.
"What you smiling for, girl?"
"He'll call you back." I threw Jayvion his phone before running into Amaru's arms.
As I hugged and kissed all over his face his eyes stayed on Jayvion.
