It takes a lot to make Yoongi smile, but hardly does something on his phone ever have that capability. However, throughout this conversation the wide smile on his face doesn't fade.
Usually at this time of night, he's pacing around the living room or laying in a ball on his side with his knees pressed up to his chest. There's always too much going on in his head. But for once, his chest doesn't feel heavy. Rather, there's an odd sense of peace that lets him feel simply tired instead of overly exhausted.
He gets up from his bed and makes his way into the living room. He finds his notebook full of songs, ideas, and random lyrics even. For once, he had an idea for a song that isn't about feeling empty or struggling to get by. At 2 a.m. in the morning, he writes a song about the better moments in life.
That's something he's never written about.
Jimin hasn't heard back from Yoongi for a little now, but that's okay. Maybe he's fast asleep or just doesn't feel like talking anymore. But he messaged Jimin first. That meant something.
He looks back up at the selca Yoongi sent him earlier. He's never liked a face this much before.
He turns onto the side, laying his phone by his side just in case Yoongi decides to respond.
Ah, what is he doing? He's already so eager to see Yoongi and learn more about him. He wants to know the story of the sad boy and the things that make him smile. Hopefully, one day he'll know.
His phone screen lights up and he smiles before checking it.
