Justin's Point of View

"Justin, I can't do this anymore. It's too much." My girlfriend, Alicia, sobs while running her hands through her hair.

"Hey, hey, shhh. What do you mean you can't do it anymore?" I sit her down on the bed.

"All of it. The hate, the paparazzi, the fake news, the screaming fans. I-I can't do it."

"Shhh." I pull her into me, she lays her head on my chest.

Her body jolts with every occasional sob.

"I-I think we n-need a break." She says quietly.

"What? No. Alicia, baby. Please. We'll figure something out." I say desperately. "I can't loose you."

"B-but J-Justin, it's too much-h." Another round of tears overcome her.

I kiss the top of her head. "Please don't leave. I love you."

"I-I'm sorry."

A few weeks later.

"So how are you and Alicia going, we haven't seen you together in a while?" Jimmy Fallon says.

I swallow hard and keep my eyes on the ground. "We uh, broke up."

"What? No, you guys are great together? What happened?"

"Well, my lifestyle is pretty hard to handle and I want her to be happy, so I let her go. She's at home, safe and happy now." I smile sadly.

"What about your feelings for her?"

"My feelings haven't changed, she'll always be the girl I fell in love with."

"Is there any chance of you getting back together?"

"Hopefully. I don't know, I guess we just have to wait and see." I shrug despondent.

I sigh as I close my door to my empty house.

"Honey, I'm home." I call, force of habit.

Esther comes in the room.

"Hey Esther, do you miss mommy?"

She wags her tail at the mention of mommy.

"Yeah, me too."

I sit down on the floor and play with her, then the doorbell goes.

"Who could that be?" I ask Esther and stand up.

I open the door and meet her familiar eyes.

"A-Alicia?" I ask shocked. Is she real?

"Justin." She says with tears in her eyes.

I hold my arms open and she falls into them, I wrap them around her.

"I-I can't-t d-do it, I can't-t go. I-I love you-u t-too much-h."

"I love you too. Please stay."

"I-I will."

My heart grows warm and happy once again.
