Raph's POV

I have a minor issue with my temper sometimes running out of control, I know that. And I'll admit my fuse is rather short. However, with a knucklehead as brother, my life never is easy. Mikey always know how to push my bottoms. He know how to make me angry, yet I - after have hit once or twice - always forgive him after whatever prank he has pulled off.

But not today.

Today I'm absolutely furious!

I ran through the tunnels steaming and swearing curses that much likely would gain me a earful if Splinter or Leo ever heard. I was out of breath from the long run, yet I kept moving forward as my boiling blood kept rushing through my veins. Turning a new corner another bucket of disappointment was thrown at me. She wasn't there. (Y/n) wasn't there.

I frowned.

This time Mikey had went too far. Of all things he could do, he had to pull a idiotic prank off on (Y/n). Yeah, after have lived with us for about a year, she could navigate herself through the parts of the sewers pretty well. But that was around the new constructed tunnels. The old tunnels to our previous Lair were another talk.

Even we, from time to time, ended lost in this freaking maze, and we had lived here forever! What had Mikey been thinking, sending her into the sewers? That peabrain would never imagine that some of the sections could collapse. Why? Because he never thinks!

Tired of running and frustrated by my lack of succes, I came to a stop, banging my fist into the nearest wall with enough force to earn myself some bruises. However, I didn't care about bruises. Everything I cared about right now was finding (Y/n) before she ended like a pool of guck somewhere down here.

I was mad at my brother, but I couldn't blame it entirely on him. If (Y/n) had just thought it over, she wouldn't be lost. If she hadn't forgotten her phone, I wouldn't have to run around after her like some kind of bloodhound. On the other hand that seemed to be the only thing girls spend their time on in our generation: Getting lost.

At least that's what a feeling in my guts told me. Searching for a abandoned girl, lost from her home. That seemed to recall some memories from a time long gone. The question was when? Where?

<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>

Even at a young age I had the reputation to give my dad quite some quarrels. Easy to fire up, never willing to take a voluntarily bath, downright never eating my meals if It looked the least weird. However, what made me most troublesome was my poor sense of rules.

Master Splinter had countless times told us to stay away from the surface, yet the thrilling feeling I got just by the thought drowned any warning we had gotten. So as the good little toddler I was, I sneaked out of the Lair in all secret.

One time while I strolled on the rooftops, watching the people below me. a bright pink color stood out of the crowd, catching my attention. I stopped in my track and leaned out over the ridge in a curious attempt to figur out what I had seen.

To my boredom, however, I after a good minut realized my curiosity had peeked for no reason. Instead of discovering anything action filled, the pink color really had originated from a little cute dress. And down on the street was the girl who wore it.

The girl wasn't much age different from me, maybe a year younger top. From what I could see, she was nothing special, but just another human kid. Yet even so, I found myself gazing down at her a little longer than necessary. Happily with her (h/c) swirling around her head as she briskly walk with a little pep in her steps, she swings her arms back and forth while her hands grasp one of her parents in each hand. Both her mother and father seemed to copy their daughters happy smile.

Seeing them walk towards the park, I can't help but follow them while a feeling inside me tickele as I observe them. They seem so happy and carefree. A whole family. A daughter, a dad...and a mom. Instead of locking themselves up in a sewer, they treasure their time together in a park. Something my brothers and I would forever miss out on.

From a building I jumped with ease in to a tree like a true ninja and kept jumping from one to anther till the family finally stopped. The daughter seated her parents at a bench and excited separated with them as she ran in to the woods to explore.

I hadn't really a clue why, but seeing her disappear out of sight made my stomach twist uncomfortable, giving me a bad feeling something soon was to happen. Feeling like that I took my departure as well as quickly I could in the direction of where she had left.

It didn't take me long to find her, yet it was clear for me to see when I reached her, that her mood had changed drastically. We were surrounded by hug trees; good for me to hide in, bit even better for a little girl to be lost between. Panic started to appear in her features as she rapidly snapped her head confused around from side to side.

It was obvious she had lost her way.

"Mommy?" she called with a quivering voice. "D-Daddy?"

My heart stung painfully as her attitude got more and more desperate, and I felt a urgent urge to help her. Master Splinter had ordered us never to reveal ourselves to a human, yet when I continued to watch her few moments longer, I knew it was impossible to leave her like that.

I looked around me carefully for any witnesses at sight, before turning back. "This way," I called out loud enough to get her attention.

"H-Huh?" she questioned stepping towards my hiding spot. "Who is it?"

Before she could find me I had changed tree. "Over here," I called again.

It took a long time, but though ineffectively, it worked as it should and I managed to reunite her with her worried parents about 15 minutes after.

<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>

I didn't know who the girl from my memories, but somehow she resembled (Y/n) and this situation horribly well. If this was a repeat from the past, I desperately wished that the result would be the same.

Turning the fiftieth corner, my hurried steps haltered and a sigh of relief escaped me as (Y/n) suddenly appeared before me. Resting her head upon her arms onto her kneaes, she was cuddled up in a ball up against the wall in a tense positure. Having heard my steps she looked up hopefully. The tenseness in her body seemed to cease as her muscles relaxed.

"As soon we get home, I'm going to kill Mikey," she said with exhausted smile.

"Don't worry, I'm going to help." I encouraged and helped her up.
