The most nerve-wrecking part of a new relationship, had finally found its way to you and Leo. After had been together for about three months you had decided to go out on a date together. Really, it actually had been Leo's idea after you one day returned from school, and had been met with a slightly flustered Turtle and a bouquet of (f/f).

They were beautiful arranged, and by the sweet scent, you knew that the bouquet was homemade. Between the flowers you found a card where the big question was asked. Of course you basically jumped at him in pure happiness, making him stumble surprised, while you exclaimed 'yes' with a smile over your features.

Now when the day had arrived, your nerves was worn out with a mix up of excited anticipation and overwhelming fright. You were wearing your best classy clothes, though still remembering it should be casual. If you had to say it yourself, you did a great job with your look. The real judge would of course in the end be Leo, but as for now, you were happy with the result.

The warehouse, Leo had shown you as a second way to the Lair, opened up. You entered a little nervous, just in time as the gate once again closed behind you, leaving you in darkness. For a moment it was pitch black, until the quiet sounds of clicking went through the air and the lamps above you lighted up, revealing a slightly gaping leader in blue, who had his eyes on you.

You blushed a little of the continous attention. "Am I...too early?"

"Hm? No no, not at all," he said, shaking his head out of his trance. "It's just...You're really beautiful." His voice was shy, but the words was pure.

Your heart made a somersault at the compliment, but on the same time you felt more relaxed than before. Maybe due to his casual way of saying it?

"You never told me where we should go," you stated, curiosity barely hidden.

Leo chuckled. "Well, I'm sorry. But surprises are surprising." He moved over to the biggest vehicle in the warehouse, the Battle Shell, and opened the passenger-door for you with a light bow. "I hope it's alright we'll be riding?"

You nodded barely, approaching the door there was being opened for you. Was it normal to feel do warm inside for such a simple gesture? Or was it the whole occasion that made you excited to ride a truck with Leo?

You took your seat in the car. He closed the door after you and took his own seat at the driver-seat. Smoothly as if it was a everyday thing, he turned on the motor and the gate again drifted up, clearing your way out to the roads. You left the filled city for the countryside about a half hour after, turning the view of buildings in to wonderful landscapes.

You had never noticed it before, maybe because this was the first time where you had to think only about you and nothing else. Now when you thought about it a bit deeper there was often a silence between you. It wasn't uncomfortable. It actually usually was pretty relaxing, but not at this moment. You felt the feeling of being unsure grow. Wasn't you suppose to talk at a date? You never had tried it before, so surely you did something wrong...

"(Y/n)?"

"Yes?!" you yelped startled.

Leo sent you a funny look, glancing at you concerned. "Are you alright?"

"I-I'm..." you muttered, inwardly facepalming- Great start to freak out. "Sorry..." you mumbled with your head hanging in shame.

"You don't have to apologize. And neither to be nervous." You looked up surprised to be met with a soft smile. Seeing your gaze turn to doubtfully, he looked out of the windshield. A moment later and he continued. "I know you're nervous, but you don't have to be. I am too"

"You are?!" you asked dumbfound, earning a laugh.

"Of course. It's my first time doing anything like this too," he replied. "From your expression before, I guess you tried to come up with something to say. Nut you don't have to."

"But...Shouldn't we...Aren't we suppose to..."

"To spend time talking more than enjoying we're together?"

You bit back the 'yes' you had been about to answer. Now when he put it that way it sounded absurd, but what should you say in return?

Leo drove with one hand only and used his free hand to hold yours. "The wonderful thing with you, (Y/n), is that you're easy to be with." He squeezed your hand lightly. "I don't need words to enjoy your presence beside me."

The Battle Shell came to a halt as you turned and parked at a beautiful beach there didn't seem to be visited by anyone but you. The motor shut down and you was left with a swooning heart and a hand heating up every second by the touch from your boyfriend.

"I'm not nervous anymore...Not with you," you admitted, though it only was a half truth.

Seeming to be happy with your answer nodded to the back of the truck, before he got up and went to the back, where he opened the tailgates, letting light and a warm breeze enter the battle Shell. You followed to the back, just in time to see Leo find a mocuck from underneath one of the hightech-panels Donnie had build.

In the mocuck everything for a great meal was packed together with various sweets and a little greeting from the cook himself, Mikey. You sat at the floor of the truck, much like a picnic, this time having no trouble with starting a conversation and neither enjoying yourself.

At some point after had eaten yourself full, to your amazed surprise, in your favorit dessert, you and Leo had decided to go watch the sunset at the beach. Now sitting in the sand side by side with your head on his shoulder, you watched as the last golden rays shone over the sea.

"This..It's so beautiful," you breathed out, finally finding the right words to describe the moment.

"It is," Leo agreed relaxed. "But it is, because you're here."

You giggled, shaking your head. Again you sat a few seconds without uttering a word. You dared to raise your head enough from his shoulder to look up at his face, only to find out Leo no longer watched the sunset, but instead you.

You caught your breath in amazement. You were closer face to face than ever, and thoughts began coming to you in a rush. You liked Leo so much, but was there more to it? What would you be in a month? A year?

"Leo..."

Showing affection in actions were important, but even more uttering them with words was just as important. Something you hadn't yet done. Your heart squirreled to tell how you felt, but this time Leo forestalled you.

"(Y/n)..I have to tell you this," he said, looking straight a head as if to gain courage, before looking back to you, meeting your gaze with his. "I know this is our first date, but I don't want it to be our last." He turned to you and took both of your hands in his. "Liking you isn't enough."

Something inside you tightened for a moment. You clenched you hands to Leo's.

He barely touching, leaned forward and kissed your forehead, saying quietly the mutual words: "I love you."

Moving from your forehead, you frozen in place, felt the warmth seeping from Leo as he kissed you on the mouth gentle, but filled with love.

Your head felt dizzy and your gaze slightly blurry, when he leaned back to see your expression. You gazed at him, before you returned the feelings, a happy smile covering your face:

"I love you too."
