Sad news, I'm going to Mississippi this weekend to a camp so I won't have any service😭 but I'm going to update as much as I can today.

I got back into the car and we continued back on the highway.

"Heads up, we got a live one." Warren said.

"Woah." Doc gasped. "Another sad kid in a weird flowered shirt."

I sighed and laid my head into my hand. Warren stopped the car.

"I got this one." She said and got out of the car.

I poked my head out of the window to hear the conversation. "Hey, woah." Warren put her hands up to show that it was safe.

"You okay?" Warren asked.

"A little thirty is all." He said.

"Of course." Warren looked at me and I nodded.

I grabbed a bottle of water and hopped out of the car and walked towards them.

I handed the young boy the water. "Here." I smiled.

"Thanks ma'am." He said after he drank some water and handed me back the bottle.

"You can call me Topaz and this is Roberta." I said. "What's your name?"

"I'm Sam."

"Sam." Roberta nodded her head. "Does your mom know you're out here all by yourself?"

"I'm going to Salt Lake City to see my dad." He answered.

"That's not a good idea." Warren said.

"Yes it is." He nodded. "I'm old enough now. I finally get to meet my dad."

"It's to far and not safe." I said to the boy.

"It's not too far." He sighed."Brennen and Dax are already there."

"Sam." I sighed. "Salt Lake City is overrun by Zombies."

"Yeah right." He didn't believe me.

He then walked past us and went towards Salt Lake City.

I gave the water to Roberta and walked after him.

"Uh, Wait sam." I grabbed his arm and smiled. "Your right. You are old enough to see your dad, but here's the thing. We've run out of food."

"Could you help us?" I asked.

"My friend Helen could help you get some food." He said.

I nodded. "Cool."

"Will you show us where they live?" I said and he started to back up.

"Uh, Tell you what, you take us there, we will drive you to Salt Lake City."

I held my hand out and he grabbed it and shook it. "Okay."

I smiled. "Come on."

I opened the door and let him in. I walked on the other side and made Murphy get in the middle so I can sit in the passenger seat.
