Jungkook understood.

He really did.

He understood Mia.

He understood Mark.

He understood Taehyung.

He understood all of them but at the same time. He didn't understand any of them.

Which is probably why Jungkook's feet were taking him step by step closer to Mia. Mia unsuspecting all this just stood in front of the book that she was reading at the shelf. She was probably to lazy to even take the book to a table. That didn't matter since Jungkook had to spill it.

He had to.

He had no choice.

His consciousness was killing him.

Going up to her, he pulled Mia away from the book in order for her attention to be solely on him.

"Mia."

Mia blinked at the sudden intrusion and interruption. She had to adjust her eyes and peer through her glasses. When she was finally able to stop her head from spinning, she saw her childhood friend. "Jungkook?"

"Mia. Mark." His words were rushed and mashed up together. "Mark-is-being-bullied-and-that-is-why-he-is-avoiding-you-yeah..."

"What?" It had been too quick for Mia to have caught all of what Jungkook had meant to tell her. Her hands stopped Jungkook from running away from her. She really had not heard any of what Mark had wanted convey to her. "I did not hear anything you said. Jungkook speak slowly."

"Ugh...no." Jungkook groaned as he clenched and unclenched his fingers repeatedly. "Mia, don't make me say it again. Please."

"No. I didn't hear anything except 'Mark' and you can't expect me to just let you go when you're like this." Jungkook was antsy. His feet was shaking up and down from tapping and he kept looking around as if someone was spying on him. "What's going on? It'll be okay." She tried to reassure him.

"He's getting hurt. Okay." Jungkook looked at Mia. Her face was gentle and her eyes soft with care. He loved those eyes. And he knew that he wasn't the only one who was aware of Mia's possession of them. Jungkook Jeon was aware that there was someone else who coveted their attention. "Mia, it's not okay."

"Is someone hurting you? Are they targeting you?"

"No. Mia. Not me." Jungkook sighed, stopping his feet from tapping on the carpeted floor of the library. "Okay first of all, you need to worry about yourself."

Jungkook shook Mia's shoulders, hoping that she would be jolted awake.

He said it quickly once more again but this time Mia had understood.

And even if Mia had not understood, she had no way to ask Jungkook again. Because Jungkook, feeling much better, had rushed to his class.

And he was focused in class, not hungered by the weights on his shoulders.

➰➰➰

He was at his wits end. That was simply the explanation.

Because here he was again, making all the wrong decisions. Or perhaps it was all the right decisions.

At this point, Jungkook just let go. He decided to just let it be.

Sometimes...it was better to utilize one's lost sanity.

➰➰➰

He really was at a cliff—figuratively and literally. And he was about to jump.

He really was.

Because here he was heading toward the lodge.

Now that was normal, indeeed.

And with every steps, he was slowly losing his determination.

His mission: to tell all.

Well, maybe not all but majority of it.

Jungkook, despite being an easy, go with the flow kind of guy, was serious and very stiff. And since he was like that, Jungkook had been plagued.

He had never liked hiding stuff. He liked being transparent. It was just easier that way.

That's why he barged in on Taehyung.

That's why he walks up to him, unapologetic and determined and glared at Taehyung.

He wasn't even sure where he got the courage to do so. But he did.

"Taehyung, stop bullying Mia. And Mark."

"And you're not saying this just to be nice, yes?" Taehyung lifted his head up but soon went back on the soft pillow. "And I'm not doing anything."

Jungkook frowned at that. And Taehyung noticed the visible features of his upset face. Taehyung sighed and placed his phone away and sat to see Jungkook.

"Bullshit. Make them stop. I know you're attacking him to get back at Mia." Jungkook stared unwilling to trust Taehyung's words.

"What's it to you though?" Taehyung asked as he focused on his knitted fingers.

"Mia's my friend and I don't appreciate you hurting her." It felt good for Jungkook to finally say it.

"Finally. And Mark?" Taehyung asked. He had also been counting the days how long it took Jungkook to tell him the truth about Mia and him.

"Mark's just an after fact." Jungkook stopped as it dawned on him. "Wait, what?" He blinked as Taehyung just watched him go through phases of confusion and realization. "You knew?"

"Yes. No duh. Jungkook, you weren't really good at hiding. You sucked in fact." Taehyung rolled his eyes but chuckled at Jungkook.

"Oh. Then you agree to leave Mia alone?" Jungkook was taken back but quickly regained his cool. He was cool like that.

"No. It's too much fun to stop." Taehyung chuckled amused at Jungkook.

"Taehyung!" Jungkook groaned.

Taehyung waved Jungkook's antics aside and continued to speak. "Besides we haven't even got to the good part. There's something special prepared tonight."

"What is it?" Jungkook couldn't help but ask. It was annoying but he couldn't help but to ask. He was so curious.

"Now we don't want to spoil it do we?" Taehyung smiled and Jungkook was unsure if it was sincere or not. And even if it was sincere, he was not sure if it was a good sign for Taehyung to willingly show his real emotions. Seeing how tense the younger got, Taehyung responded. "Jungkook relax. I won't hurt...Mia. Not like before. This time it's a bit different. I'm trying out a different method."

"Humph. Fine..." Jungkook grumbled lowly, turning away from Taehyung. He had an appointment with someone so he had to leave.

Taehyung watched as Jungkook walked out the door, his steps back into his normal pace. But today was different.

It was true. Later on today they were going to change their dynamics a bit and after that...Taehyung had decided  only after that will he decide what to do with one and only Mia Jung.
