"Why don't you tell her?" I asked, letting his another sigh.

"She can't know too much of me. Having a relationship with a shifter will bring her no good." Taeyong admitted bitterly as he continued. "Our pack ancestor had mentioned: a shifter should marry a shifter as well. I didn't understand why our ancestors had set this one stupid rule which stopped us from loving other species, until one day, my parents died." Although that was a story full of tragedy, Taeyong still spoke without shading a tear. "When my uncle told me the truth, that was when I knew that my father was not a shifter, but a demon."  So that had explained why Taeyong managed to enter and leave Hell easily. "My father killed my mother before even noticing. As told by my uncle, he wasn't himself when he did it. But when my father recognised his mistakes, it's too late because he had died, killed by the leader of my mother's pack - her father." That also explained why leaders should have power. The power to lead and overcome obstacles which might be beyond his/her will.

He took a short glance at the wall clock and turned back to me. His eyes glimmered in lilac, matching his glowing hair. Obviously, he was waiting for me to say something. So I clear my throat and asked, "But you showed no demonic traits when we first know your existence. Why did you think that way?" Taeyong shook his head as he lowered it.

"The demon side of me will be awake some day." Taeyong stated. "Hurley's life will be in jeopardy if I continue to keep her by my side." His words fanned up the rage inside me as that was really irresponsible.

"If you've known about this, why did you fall in love with my sister in the first place?!" I queried and he opened his mouth but uttered nothing. "Hurley loves you. You can't hide from her like this. You will break her heart, and I hate men who hurt my sister!" I almost burst out loud as I'd forgotten that I was in the bedroom with Hurley sleeping in the other bed beside me.

"Dee, who are you talking to? It's already 3." Both of us looked at Hurley as she shuffled in her blanket and gone back to her dream once again. When I turned back to Taeyong, he's already gone. The only thing left for me was the wind blowing through the gap of the half-opened window.

**Flashback ends**

"I'll wake her up now." I say without giving Taeyong the time to prepare. Eventually, he tries to escape as he charges towards the window. But I'm faster. I know he will run away. Reaching for the handle, I shut and lock the window with a click. In the meantime, I stare back at the shifter whose expression has turned dark in anger with the same expression. "You have to explain this to her. She has to know."

"But-"

"Hurley!!" I ignore Taeyong's excuse while running towards my sister, who moves a little upon my call. "Taeyong-oppa is here!!" I shout out before that handsome shifter covers my mouth and muffling my voice. He carries me away before my hands reach Hurley's blanket. Kicking and squirming inside his strong hold, my leg accidentally kicks the table lamp hard and it knocks hardly on the wall. My sister jerks a little before her eyes open.

"Dee?" At first, she notices my absence in my own bed until she turns and looks at us in shock. "T-Taeyong?!" Her eyes are getting red when her tears become hyperactive. "Is that you?" Her voice becomes a squeak as she leaves the bed and walks towards us. Unconsciously, Taeyong puts me down and his eyes are on her. Fully on her.

"Yes, it's me, my beautiful lady." The next thing that happens is too fast. Hurley dashes into Taeyong's protective hug and then, she kisses him, catching him off guard before he kisses back. I can't help but keep my mouth opened in shock.
