13- Sleep

Someone grabs my hand from behind while I run away as fast as I can. "Come on!" JiaQi pulls me as she overtakes me. Both of us turn to the left and hide when the ground shakes. Loud and searing screeches echo around which makes us groan in pain as we cover our ears up.

A furious roar escapes from the tripped creature, causing its friend to join it with more screeches and hisses. Both of them communicate with low growls until this last for a few minutes. Without further waiting, I lift my chin up towards our way out, indicating that we should go instead of stopping.

The exit is not near enough for us to get there instantly. Yes, it's risky. Really risky to run away alive, especially from those fiery creatures. As for now, we're hiding behind Block C, though it is the nearest building to the exit, it takes quite a long time for us to make corner turns and run for a temporary long route.

"Come on, let's get inside first." suggests JiaQi quietly as she slides into one entrance of the classroom located next to us. Thank god, we manage to squat down quietly in classroom right before the creature dashes into the path. Its long, chopstick-like legs poke through the ceiling and mess up everything which gets into their ways. "From one to three," whispers JiaQi with her shaky breaths. "We run." Then, she points at the other entrance of this classroom which points directly at the way out.

"Kayo, pallri!(Let's go, faster!)" says Jin when he opens another portal with spinning whirlpools in the air. Unfolding his huge black wings, Taehyung takes a deep breath and dashes into the horizontal whirlpool like an eagle.

"You better stay put, goma." is all he murmurs as his figure disappears completely from sight.

"Jaykee, you better stay safe." Praying under his breath, Jungkook enters through the portal with Jimin's help. Patting Jungkook's back soothingly, Jimin's eyes show concern all over.

"She'll be okay. You'd trained her remember?" he asks while Jungkook nods wearily, admitting. "Jin hyung, you're coming right?" asks Jimin as he turns back to face Jin.

"Nei(Yes). I've tell Namjoonie and Suga to prepare their armies if necessary." says Jin as both Namjoon and Yoongi nods in approval. Yes, Yoongi's stage name is Suga, as in sugar, because his skin is the fairest and his smile is as sweet as sugar too.

While Jin takes his steps into the portal, it starts shrinking and as his body is inside it entirely, the portal disappears with elegant splashes of water.

"Run!!!Don't look back Heidi!!" is all my friend has said when the white, scaly creatures separate us during the chase. Our bodies are caked with sweat and heavy breaths escape from our parted mouths. The creatures will not stop until they get us, good news is I know about this logic as I've watched plenty of scenes like this in movies. As for the bad news is, I've exhausted as my limping legs start to kneel halfway.

I take another turn in the neighbourhood and try to call for help, but strange, no one hears me. I lead out a short scream while something catches hold on my right leg. Losing my beloved equilibrium, I fall forward and if my arms don't brace themselves on the ground, my face will be buried in the damn soil.

"No no no, please...don't.." No matter how frantically my fingers raking on the dirt, searching for anything to hold onto, the force still manages to pull me backwards. The creature growls terrifyingly while looking hungrily at its prey underneath. Its transparent, silky saliva drips down and lands nastily on my face when it leans down. The creature examines my face longingly as I squeeze my eyes close with my teeth chattering at the same time.
