Smiling, you reach your arms out. Your daughter comes flying over.
" Mommy!" She yells, hugging you.
You hug her, then kiss her cheek.
" Where's daddy?" You ask her.
" He'll be here in a second. He was being grumpy and walking slow so I ran ahead." She says quietly, pointing in the direction Zane was coming in.
Laughing, you squeeze her a bit, then you stand up.
" Hey Cupcake!" You say, he rolls his eyes.
" Even after all these years, you have yet to come up with a better nickname." He says.
Smiling, you laugh " Maybe I have, and I just don't wanna say it."
He blushes a bit, looking off to the side, you punch his arm.
" Ew!" (D/n) says.
You look down at her, ruffling her hair a bit.
" Oh you shush. Wheres the family?" You say, turning to Zane.
" They'll be here in a second." He says.
" Alright, come on (D/n), they're gonna take a while, lets go get some cupcakes." You say, smiling evilly at Zane.
" Shut up, (Y/n)." Zane grumbles.
" You shouldn't talk to your wife like that." Vylad teases, smiling at you.
" Hey Vylad! Imma go get cupcakes with (D/n), and Zane if he's not gonna be a killjoy." You say.
" Fine." He says.
You grab his hand, squeezing it a bit, doing the same to (D/n).
" I'll go to the bakery with you guys." Vylad says " I haven't had a sweet after the plane ride, so I'm down."
" Then lets go!" You say, pulling Zane.
The walk was filled with joyful voices, eventually, everyone slowly started coming. Garroth showed up with Laurance, Dante with Travis, and so on.
It was a pretty big group, but it was nice. Especially nice since you got to see Zane after the business trip. You would've taken them, but it was a strict trip. You couldn't mess anything up or your job would be put on the line.
So you just went alone.
" So how have you guys been?" You ask Aph and Aaron.
" We've been fine. Its been a while since we've all grouped up though." She says.
" Well, working will do that to you. Ugh, jobs." You groan slightly.
She laughs, along with a few others.
" So, any new couples that I might've missed on my two week trip?" You ask.
" Well..." Aphmau trails off, her eyes slowly dragging over to Katelyn.
" Aph!" Katelyn says, her face becoming a light shade of pink.
" Wait, you and Travis?" You ask excitedly.
" Maybe." She says, a slow smile coming.
" Awesome." You say.
" Mommy! Daddy is being grumpy." (D/n) says quietly, tugging on your sleeve.
You turn to look at Zane, and it looks like he's frowning a bit.
Getting out of the group conversation, you turn to Zane, talking with him instead.
" Whats up, Cupcake?" You ask.
" Its just its been a while since I saw you." He says.
" Alright, you want me allll to yourself, huh?" You ask, kissing his cheek.
He blushes " No."
" Then why're you being grumpy?" You ask.
He doesn't say anything, which makes you smile " We'll have some family time tonight, I'm not gonna want to stick around these dorks all day."
" Hey! I heard that!" Travis says.
You punch his arm, he rubs the spot.
Turning back to Zane, you scoot closer to him, hugging him.
(D/n) sits on you lap, hugging you.
" See, family time is gonna be great."
" You're killing me with the hug." He says.
" I'm barely touching you." You argue.
" Exactly." He smirks.
You push away from him " Whatever, you're gonna be the forever alone one."
" Mhmm, you're the one that fell for me."
" And you're the one that -"
" Stop!" He says, you chuckle.
" Exactly, now shut up and love me." You say, hugging him again.
Its short, and I wish I would write more
But at least I'm updating? Yes?
I'll try to do another part today, but I'm actually doing stuff today, like seeing a movie, hello Spiderman XD
