What if Briarlight had been killed by the falling tree along with Longtail?
Well, to start off with, this would increase Mousefur's guilt for having insisted on going back for the mouse. This isn't really relative to the plot, just an interesting side note.
Millie would have been grief-stricken for a time, but after that she likely would have moved on and paid decent attention to her other kits, meaning that they likely would never have gone to the Dark Forest. The grief for their lost kit could bring Graystripe and Millie closer together, or it could also drive them apart.
Jayfeather would be largely different due to the large amounts of time he spent with her. He would perhaps be even more antisocial than he currently is and he would likely not feel quite as successful as a medicine cat.
Overall, not really much effect to the plot, but it does present some interesting changes in certain characters.
