It was a late and dark evening in the grand New York City. The sound of swarming traffic filled the air over the busy city, as everyone was minding their own business. No different from the rest of the city, the young 16 years old (Y/n) (L/n) walked down the streets in her own thoughts, not paying any attention to her surroundings.

It had been a long and arduous day for you in school, having to deal with a ton of homework and longstanding classes, which never seemed to come to an end. Even after school had ended, you still had a lot errands you had to do for your aunt, before you could head home. You had scanned through less than 13 shops in an effort to provide what you had been ordered to get, but with no success. After the last shop had kicked you out, you gave up and headed home.

Even now you tried to come up with an excuse to avoid your aunt's rage and your uncle's harsh actions, but no of your stories occurred to be good enough for use.

You sighed deeply and closed your eyes, as you continued your track home, passing a gloom alley, where you hadn't noticed the small movements coming from the shadows. You only had taken one step from the alley, as you suddenly felt a hand grabbing your wrist firmly from behind. Before you knew of it, you were pulled into the alley and pinned up against the wall.

"Where are you think you're going, beauty?" a male voice rasped close to your ear.

At first you hardly could see anything due to the darkness. But as your eyes slowlyadjusted, in front of you appeared a well known tattoo together with three pierced faces, which watched every little movements you were doing.

"Purple Dragons," you exclaimed in surprise. "What do you want with me? Let me go!" You tried in vain to escape the hands that held you.

The Purple Dragon, who pinned you up to the wall, smirked and leaned in kissing you up your neck, knowing he was too strong for you to escape. "We just want to have some fun tonight and hoped you'd help us with it."

"No! Don't do that! Stop!" you yelled, with the clear disgust filling your voice. You pulled and fought with all your might, but came nowhere with it.

"I think, we've got ourselves a fiery one boys." the one pinning you said to the two standing behind him. "We better keep you still. We wouldn't want to hurt you now, would we?"

The two other men came up from behind him and took each one of your arms, while the first one let go. You tried to kick your capture in the groin, but with no use. He was out of your reach.

The one holding your right arm ran a hand through your hair and down to the edge of your clothes in a needy way. The feeling of disgust just continued filling up your chest.

"Get your freaking hands of me!" you shouted, glaring at them with as much detestation that it almost shone out of you. The only answer you got was a joyful laugher, as the hand lowered more and more from the edge down to your chest.

The Purple Dragon, who had been the bastard kissing you, went closer to you once again, which he'd soon enough quickly regret. As you saw a tiny chance to slip away, or at least cause a little chaos, you, as smart as you were, gathered all your anger into one powerful kick right in to the guy's lowest genitals.

The satisfaction you felt, when he shrank back in howling pain, didn't last long. He lifted his gaze towards you and instantly your heart sank.

"You little worm!" he roared and raised his hand threateningly over you with a maniacally look, only people from the insane asylum could assemble.

"If I heard right, she said, you should get your hands of her," a new male voice suddenly echoed between the cold walls, startling you all.

You looked around surprised, searching for the voice's owner, but no other than you and the three Purple Dragons were in the alley. A short moment went by without anything happened. The tenseness there had been gathered faded from your captures's faces and once again a hand was raised ready to slap you.

A shadow went over you and the sound of steel being pulled out of its sheath, faster than your eyes and ears could register, was heard. Before the hand hit you, a painful outburst sounded and the guy, who had stood in front of you, was gone. You hardly blinked, before the guy holding your left arm had vanished completely, as well. The last guy who held your right arm looked around with a slightly scared expression.

"I-I'm not afraid of you, f-freak," he stuttered. No more did he get to say, before the shadow went over you again and the grab on your arm lightened.

The alley was empty with the exception of you. You saw around hesitantly. No sign of the Purple Dragons and neither of the voice you had heard just a moment ago. For a brief second, you considered to turn around and walk away, without thinking further over the mysterious rescue, which probably had saved your life. But as you were about to turn away, the corner of your eye caught a silhouette in the black shadows.

"Hallo?" You asked uncertain. "Someone's there?"

For awhile no answer came, but you kept standing there glancing into the dark.

"Yes," was the respond after along break. The surprise of actually getting a respond startled you.

"It was you who helped me, right?" This time no one answered, but you continued. "Thanks for your help. I thought I was going to die..."

Silence laid over the alley, like a thick blanket. You could feel eyes watching you. Surprisingly, it didn't make you uncomfortable, just a lot more curious to find out who the person that was hiding from you was.

"Hey, why don't you step out, so I can see you?" you asked and stepped closer to get a look of your hidden savior.

The person backed quickly further away from you. "No! Don't come closer!" the voice warned.

"What? Why not?" you questioned, but did as he said and stopped your track.

"You-...You will run away." You couldn't see the person, but something in the voice made it clear, it wasn't a guess, but a statement.

You shook your head slowly and smiled encouraging, so it was easy to see. "I won't. You saved my life. Please come out and let me thank you in person."

The minutes passed, as nothing was said. For a short while, you felt the doubt in you with the idea that the person might had left. But at last, just as your hope was about to falter, you watched a silhouette slowly coming closer to you and be revealed by the gloomy light that came from the raising moon.

A gasp got through your lips, as you stumbled back with wide eyes for the view that stood in front of you. You stared at a muscular, human sized turtle with black green eyes, blue mask and something that looked like swords strapped to his shell.

The turtle sighed at your reaction. "I told you, you would run away," he said.

You managed to put your surprise away and showed him a nervous smile. "Sorry. I'm not used to be saved by...peoples like you."

He send you a slightly confused look. "You aren't going to run or scream at me?" He asked you.

You shook your head and came closer to him slowly. "Why should I run away from the one who just saved me?" you questioned and reached him out a hand for a handshake. He stared at your hand suspiciously, as if he thought you were joking, but since you didn't take it away, he took it and shook your hand. You smiled relived. "Listen: I need to go home, before my aunt and uncle call the police or something like that. Come and visit me, alright? Then I'll make sure, I thank you rightly," you told and handed him a lap of paper where you had written your adresse.

You waved at him, as he watched your departure. You headed home, without knowing you might just had met someone that could become very important to you.
