Eight hours passed and gave way to evening. SWAT had returned, but most of them were reporting symptoms of illness.
Urvi was barely keeping her composure. "What if they've all been poisoned? It could be polonium!"
"Just send them to a hospital and have them tested." Eric muttered, still pecking away at the Department's servers.
"But I can't just send SWAT units to the hospital!" Urvi protested. "We've got to keep the public undisturbed."
"Then call in a team of doctors from the CDC." Eric suggested. "Cut them off so the rest of us don't get sick as well."
"Where's Takaryev?" Urvi asked, her icy eyes scanning the control center.
Haywood was organizing some papers. "Went home."
"Of course he did." Urvi growled, rolling her eyes. "Well, I'll call the CDC."
