Sobbing, Ravil called Artem.
"What's wrong? What happened?" Artem asked immediately after opening the Skype call.
"Okay, so, my dad came home drunk and he started yelling at me and then tried to punch me so i tripped him but then I had a, um, I think it was a flashback? And I saw a white room, and blood, and there was a last name?" Ravil managed to say.
"A last name?" Artem asked. "What was it?"
"I-Izmay...lov?" Ravil answered. "It was something like that."
"You're not hurt, are you?" Artem asked.
"N-no," Ravil said. "I called the police. They took my dad away."
"I'm sorry. I wish I could've been there; I would've protected you." Artem replied.
"It's okay. I'll be okay." Ravil let out a hollow chuckle. "I've already gone through hell and back. Not like another round will kill me."
"I'm here if you need me. Promise me you won't hurt yourself or do anything stupid, Ravil." Artem said.
"Sure." Ravil mumbled, not meeting Artem's blue gaze.
"We're gonna get through this together. Okay?" Artem replied.
"Yeah. Thanks, Artem."
