I'm sure you all know or have read character journals. I personally don't like reading them but I know many do. I have tried reading some but they're complete bullshit 90% of the time.
I'm pretty sure the journals are to analyze a character and to show what a character thinks and does.
Most of the journals are purely over cliched garbage. They don't go any further than the surface of a character as if there isn't more to them. Then again, how will they? Most of the chapters or whatever are a sentence long. And when they aren't a sentence long they're like a list of things without explaining anything. That's bullshit!
The cliches are ridiculous.
Romano journals are all "bastard tomato bastard bastard tomato shit"
America journals are "dude video games dude food dude dude"
They have no purpose! They're just there to state what we already know as the basics. There's no depth or emotion. It's like it was written by a computer.
I want to be entertained not bored from the same damn thing over and over again.
WE NEED TO STOP THIS BULLSHIT BECAUSE ITS NOT NEEDED. WE NEED MORE DEPTH IN THEM FOR FUCKS SAKE.
