Jacobs POV
" Mommy, mommy! Come on let's go! " I am so excited!! Today is my first day of YAT ( Young Actors Theatre). I love acting and making people smile. One day my dream is to be a movie star!
" I'm coming sweetie, get in the car" , my mom said from the living room.
My sister Caroline is in the front seat listening to Justin Beiber. She is 12 and boy crazy! Justin is so young and so famous. I hope when I'm 13 I'll be as famous as he is!
I sit in the back seat going over my lines. I'm auditioning for a big part in the Jungle Book. I want to be the the tiger!!! My best friend in the whole wide world is audition with me. She is going to be the snake that helps the lion on his journey. Her name is Laila. She lives next door to me. Our moms say they were best friends when they were pregnant with us and that when we were born we became friends too. Laila and I are only a couple days apart in age. " Mommy can Laila come play after the audition?" I ask my mom.
" of course! Once you two get the part you can practice together! My mom had so much confidence in me. I loved her for that.

We arrived at the theatre. Laila and I audition in pairs to make it less uncomfortable. The director said " Action!"
After we finished the audition Laila, mommy, Lynn( Laila's mom), and I waited in the waiting room for the Director to post the cast list.

" Omg!!! Laila! We both made it!!" I say with excitement. She runs up to me and hugs me. Man I loved being her best friend. " hey Laila, do you wanna come play with me at home? " I say. " ya!!! We can practice our lines and play basketball". Says Laila. Laila and I love playing basketball. I play for a club team in my school an Laila just plays for fun. One day we played for hours because she kept beating me and I wanted to win. I told her that the day I beat her in a game she had to kiss my cheek. She laughed and said " In your dreams Sartorius!"
Laila's POV
Today was the best day ever!!! Jacob and I are in the play ! I can't wait to practice lines with him. He may not know it but I love being his best friend.
After we practiced lines we played basketball for a little bit. I of course beat him ...again. He really needs to step up his game. He has only beat me 1 time. That day he was so confident he thought he could beat me again. I told him that is he ever been me again he had to kiss my cheek. That scared him off cuz I have cooties. Since that day he hasn't beat me. I don't know if he ever will 😊.

It's the day after the audition and today Is Jacobs birthday. Mine is in 4 days , 3 hours, and 7 minutes. I'm so excited to turn 7!
My mommy and I go to the mall to buy Jacob a present. We bought him a new basketball because my mommy knows how much he loves it. We also buy 2 bracelets. One with an " L" and the other with a " J". They are friendship bracelets. I will get the one with a "J" and Jacob will get the one with an "L". This means that we will be best friends forever!!
