LACEY

"Tomorrow we're doing something," Jack said to me during breakfast.

I couldn't get the dream out of my head, his words sounded like they were a thousand miles away; almost barely audible.

"Lacey?" Jack asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

   "Yeah?"

"I got something planned for tomorrow," he said.

"Oh really?" I asked now curious.

I could feel the anxiety of his presence decreasing. hopefully he keeps talking will calm me down.

"Yeah, nothing too big," Jack smiled.

The dream. His smile. I can't stop thinking about it no matter how hard I try.

Am I really a bad kisser?

   "What?" He asked.

   "Huh?"

"You asked me if you were a "bad kisser?" Jack explained.

"Wh- I did? Uh that wasn't meant to be said out loud, my bad, I'm going to go outside for some air," I told him.

Before he could say anything I left the kitchen, and into the living room. I opened the door, stepped outside, and soaked in the fresh air.

Things were complicated. I wanted to get back home, but I don't know if i can face my mom. On the other hand, I don't know how much longer I can stay with jack. It's not that I don't like him...I do, but he doesn't like me.
