Chapter 16 sleepovers

Alex P.O.V

Me and cole took my room, Gabe and Alex took the guest room, while dalton and Madison took the other guest room. Will and Dana took the living room. Caroline took my parents room. The sleepover was going fine. We hung out and watched a few movies while eating popcorn. When we all went to sleep, I talked to cole about Jane.

"Why does Jane hate me so much?" I ask

"She doesn't hate you, she hates me, making her hate you because I'm with you." Cole said

"What? Why does she hate you?" I was confused

"Well, I never told anyone this except for dalton and Gabe." Cole said

"Tell me, I won't say anything."

Right then cole touched my stomach/ribs making my bruises to act up.

"Owwwwwwww" I whin in pain

He looked at me and pulled the blanket down. He lifted my shirt halfway to look at my bruises. They were still bleeding but not alot. The purple turned black and it was healing REALLY slow.

"Omg, it got worst" cole said

" no, it's getting better" I said trying to not worry him

"No it isn't. You need to go to the doctors and get medicine" cole said over reacting.

"Cole, it's ok. It will get better. If I do they will ask me questions and I can't tell them about this." I said

"Ok p, but promise me you will at least try to get help to heal that faster." cole said looking at me.

"Anyways, tell me the story" I said forceful.

"I don't feel ready yet" cole said

"Why not?"

"Because it's going to affect the real problem right now."

"It's ok" I said

"I'll tell you but you promise not to make a big deal about it, ok?" Cole said with a frown.

"I promise"

"Ok, well before you came to this school, I dated Jane for a year or so. She was really nice and sweet to me and every guy adored her. She was the most popular girl in school and nobody ever rejects her. She was nice to me but mean to everyone else. I didn't like it, the day before prom, I went to school early and I heard kissing noises. I looked in and peeked and saw Jane with Eric. I was so angry with her. I didn't tell her I saw them, tho. On the day of prom, I went to her house. She didn't want to go anymore, instead she wanted to skip it. We stayed in her house and when it was about midnight, she grabbed me into her room and asked for sex. I didn't want to. I didn't give it to her and she got mad. I couldn't hold the anger anymore. I told her I saw Eric and her kissing and I yelled at her. She changed. I broke up with her and she got mad. I pushed her out of my way to leave and she slapped me. I left with a grunt and she swore she would get me back for rejecting her after we have been together for so long. She wasnt use to guys not liking her, apparently." Cole explained.

I started to tear up a little beause I always thought cole was the bad one. His story was so sad,

"Wait, she got mad at you because you broke up with her?" I ask

"Yep"

"Hm,"

"What?" Cole asked

"Well, in the beggining of the year. She told me to stay away from you." I said

"Why?" Cole asked

"She told me that you were a a huge bully and a major player. She said that you run the school and get to do everything you want. She said that you also dated every girl in school but treated them like trash. She was saying all these mean things about you when she was the one who is like that." I said

"She said that to you? No wonder you hated me when you got here. when I did nothing to you." Cole said.

"Yeah, but to be honest you were trying to flirt with me in the beginning of the year." I said with a little laugh.

Cole pushed me gently in a playful way.

"Hey, what was that for?" I asked

"For not believing me" he said with a smile

"I do have one question." I said

"What?"

"Are you really a huge player and a bully?" I asked

"No. I only dated three girls since I have been here. There named were Cassidy, Jane, then you. And number two, I only bully people when they threaten me or when they try to bully me." cole said

"I didn't do anything to you and you bullied me." I said

"Well you were special, I only bullied you cause you I had a crush on you but I didn't want to admit it to myself. So to fix it I tried to hate you. But it obviously didn't work." Cole said

"Aww, that's so sweet, I think. But we are together now, that's all that matters." I said.

He gently kissed my lips.

" we should go to sleep, the rest are probably asleep already and we have to go to school tomorrow" I said,

I faced him and snuggled with him. My head was under his neck. He was so warm. He wrapped his arm around me softly and Gently so it doesn't hurt my bruises.

"I will never let anyone hurt you" cole whispered into my ear before going to sleep

I smiled and he hugged me tighter.

"Promise me, you will never change." Cole said

"I promise" I looked up and kissed his cheek, he laughed and kissed my head.

------------------------------------------ MORNING --------------------------------------

I woke up and cole wasn't there. I got up and got ready for school. I went down stairs to see everyone already ready.

"Hey bebe. We all went home to change." Cole said. Cole called me his bebe!

"Um, ok" I said while everyone was looking at me.

"Um hey, lets all walk to school." Dalton said excitedly.

"Ugh, can't we just take my car. It's a thirty minute walk and I'm tired." I said

"No, we are walking even if I have to drag you."cole said while walking to me and throwing me on his back.

"Let go of me,cole!" I said while trying to get off

"Nope not unless your walking to school" dalton said

"Not helping Dalton" I said. When I got close enough, I smacked dalton in the back of the head.

"Owwwwwwww" Dalton cried while pretending to fake cry on Will's shoulder.

I laughed and we left. Cole put me down once we were far enough so I couldn't walk back to my car.

"Ugh, so much walking" I complained

"Man up!" Everyone said at the same time.

"Ok ok! " I said

"So, how are you and cole doing" Madison asked

"Um, I hate him, he is a jerk and I never want to see him again" I said in a sarcastic way.

"What?" Cole said while fake crying on Dana.

"I'm just kidding, I love you!" I said to cole. His face brighten up and kissed me.

"Keep it pg" said alex#2

"Yeah, get a room" Gabe budged in while holding Alex's waist.

We all laughed and went back to school.
