Calum - Headspace of 2y/o
Reader - Mummy
You woke up to Calum screaming. You sighed and rubbed your tired eyes looking at the clock. 6am. It was far too early.
You got out of bed and stretched your sore limbs from little sleep. You walked to Calum's room and cooed as you walked towards his cot.
"Shh baby boy you're okay. Mummy's got you." You said as you picked him up. He cuddled straight into your chest and stopped crying. He nuzzled into your neck trying to find comfort.
"You wet bub?" You asked and felt his nappy. You noticed the wetness and put him on the changing table. He began to scream again.
"What's the matter?" You cooed and put the dummy in his mouth. You quickly changed his nappy and put him back on your hip. He stopped crying again at your touch.
You sighed. Today was his clingy day. You were never gonna get peace.
You went downstairs with him and put him in his high chair. Low and behold he began to cry again.
You made his bottle and put some vanilla essence in it hoping it would calm him down. You made him some mashed bananas and began to feed him them.
You used the train sounds to distract him from his crying long enough to eat and then got him back out of his high chair to feed him his bottle.
You sat on the rocking chair and began to feed him. He cuddled into your chest and peacefully drank his bottle. You sighed in content. The crying was giving you a headache. No matter how much you loved the boy - the crying wasn't so fun.
