Chapter 17: Today is the day!

[ KATY'S POV ]

[ FRIDAY ]

I can't believe it... I fainted. Nahimatay ako. They said it was because I practice too much, but I told them it was just because I'm tired. Sabi naman nila pareho lang yun. 

I wasn't able to practice yesterday, neither Ballet nor Dance competition. I needed to go to the doctor. And that's when I learned na kaya ako pagod kasi masyado na daw akong nag-eexert ng energy sa practices ko. Minsan I forget to eat na nga eh.

And today is Friday so I really need to focus on this big thing, the special ballet performance. Today supposedly may voice classes, so tatawagan ko na lang yung teacher ko.

(Hello?) That's my voice teacher

"Ah, hi po. Hindi po ako makakaattend ngayon ng classes." 

(Ah, Katy wait lang. Someone's on the other line.) Hinold muna ni teacher yung call ko. Hintayin ko na lang.

Ethan visited me yesterday. Yes. He brought chocolates to make me feel better. :"> Nakakatuwa siya. He met tita na din. Sayang lang hindi namin natawagan si mama and papa na dapat kakausapin namin via skype. Sumama din siya dun sa doctor kaya hindi ako nabored habang naghihintay kami sa pila. Min was practicing for the dance competition and tita's not minding us. Para kaming may sariling mundo kahapon. ^////^

(H-hello? Katy? Are you still there?) I heard my phone.

"Ah opo!"

(Di ka makakaattend talaga ng classes?)

"Dance muna ako, teacher. Pero promise after nito go na ako sa inyo."

(May good news pa naman ako. Well---) Naputol bigla yung linya! D: NOOOOO.

I looked at my phone. Shame shame shame, Katy. Wala ka ng load! -___- Ano kaya yung good news na sinasabi nitong teacher ko. Well, the only good news I know is my special performace on ballet. 

"Katy! Malelate ka na! Pumunta ka na dun sa classes mo!" I heard tita say. So, I guess this is it. Tomorrow is the day. Today is my last day for practice. Then on Sunday, it's dance competition time!

[ The next day / SATURDAY ]

Since this morning ang ballet performance ko, later mag-papractice ako for the dance competition tomorrow. Sunod sunod eh no? Buti nga at hindi nagkasabay kasi hindi ko na alam, baka more than fainting pa ang mangyari sakin if that happens.

Kasama si Min, Tita... and Ethan today. Dun kami sa ballet school na sinasabi ko. My dream school. Dun ako magpeperform.

We rented a van.

"Katy, ayos ka lang?" tanong ni Ethan. Inaantok pa kasi ako.

"Of course I am." sagot ko na lang.

"Mukhang hindi. Tulog ka kaya? Malayo pa naman diba?" I looked outside. Oo, malayo pa nga. Baka pwede pa nga matulog. I nodded. "Dito ka." Kinuha ni Ethan ang ulo ko at nilagay sa may shoulder niya. Since matangkad sakin si Ethan, this feels comfortable.

"Thank you, Ethan." I said as I close my eyes.

"I love you, Katy. Pahinga ka na." Kiniss nya ako sa forehead bigla. I felt the urge of smiling pero sa blushing ko na lang nilabas ang kilig ko. Oh, Ethan. Stop that. :"""> No, don't stop it pala. You really make me happy.

"Andito na tayo! Magsigising na kayo diyan!" Napa-bangon ako ng biglaan. Nahilo tuloy ako. 

"Min! Di mo kailangan sumigaw!" sabi ko. Mana nga talaga kay tita tong pinsan kong si Min.
