I crouched on the warehouse roof and kept completely still, in hopes that they wouldn't hear me. "The hell man, who's been here?" one said. I flatten my back even more to the flat rocky surface as if I was part of it. "You guys look here, Joe, Alex, search the perimeter," a commanding voice ordered them, a voice that sent shivers though me. l closed my eyes praying they wouldn't come up here. Then i heard light footsteps coming up the latter to the roof. I was dead, they would find me and take me back to my uncle, and he would beat me. I was near the edge of the roof, maybe i could spring into wolf form and take off. i didn't have time for any of that 'cause the man pushed on the trap door that i had bolted shut. He swore then tried it again, it raddled then bush off, flying high in the air. I couldn't look at my captor. "Why are you so weak!?" i screamed at myself, "Run!" But it couldn't, I just huddled into a ball waiting for him, a tear rolled down my cheek, it was all to much. I hated my whole life, I was good for nothing, I couldn't find my mate, and the people I had met in the last few day, I didn't know what to make of, and now this? Oh I hated how I cried so easily. I could feel him slowly walking toward me, the closer he got the more the tension increased, till i could take it no more. I jumped up and shouted at him "What the hell do want with me!?" his eyes slowly turned up to mine, and i gasped falling back. His black hair framed his eyes, a mix of mossy green and emerald grey seemed to soak into me. I took a step back as the word echoed around and around in my head. Mate. Did I really want this? How could it be. I could hardly breathe, as his sent hit me I took a step back but there was nothing to step on.
