Disappointment. Yet again, you were feeling the disappointment within you as you answered the phone to Niall.

"Hello?"

Lately, you had been getting regular calls and texts from Niall, apologising and saying he couldn't make it home in time for your dates, which you kept having to rearrange for another day. If he was going to be an hour or so late, you didn't feel much like having a date either, so you tended to cancel them and arrange them for another day.

"Y/N, I'm really sorry, but I'm going to have to cancel our date. The boys need me to record." He said.

"Okay." You stated, simply. You tried to keep the tears in as you took a deep breath.

"Maybe, we can do it tomorrow? I know I've cancelled four times now, but I'll try my best to be there." He reassured you.

"That's what you said last time." You mumbled.

"I did try, but they mentioned that they needed me for recording and I said I'd have to cancel my plans, but it's important." He continued.

"Did you tell them what your plans were?" You asked, feeling annoyed.

"Not exactly, but I told them it was important, but then I realised I could rearrange. Princess, you know this album is important to me." He told you.

"Yeah, I know that, I just thought that maybe I was important too, but, I guess not." You sighed.

"It's not like that. Let me make it up to you tomorrow, please." He pleaded.

"You know what? I'd rather not go on a date with you, I should be used to being alone now." You said before hanging up the phone.

Niall's P.O.V:

Putting my phone into my pocket, I sighed. I didn't want to have to cancel a fourth time, but I had done.

"Niall, are you ready to record now? We need to get this track done." Liam explained and I sighed, nodding, not being able to get my mind off of the disappointment I had caused.

I recorded my part of the song, before stepping out of the booth to be met by Liam.

"Niall, you okay mate?" He asked as I walked into the booth.

"Not really, Y/N's really disappointed with me." I said.

"Why?" He questioned.

"Because we were supposed to be on a date tonight." I replied.

"Oh, Niall, I'm sure she will understand if you rearrange it." He said, sympathetically.

"That's the thing Li, this is the fourth time I've cancelled on her now and she wouldn't even rearrange." I explained.

"The fourth time? Niall, why did you cancel four times?" He exclaimed.

"I didn't mean to, but you boys needed me and I didn't want to let you down." I defended.

"Didn't you think that you were letting her down?" He said, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, of course I did, but you boys would've been complaining and so would work if I'd have let you all down." I reasoned.

"Niall, are you serious? We would not have been complaining for you to go on one date." He scoffed.

"You just did it because it was the easy option, because you knew she would understand and not complain." He continued and I furrowed my eyebrows, confused.

"Liam, no. If that's what I did, then I didn't mean to, I really didn't. But, what do you expect me to do? I don't know how I'm supposed to solve things." I sighed, running a hand through my hair.
