"Morning Niall." You greeted as you entered the room.

"Morning babe," he smiled as Charlie barked at you.

"Sorry, Charlie, morning." You laughed, stroking his head as he licked your hand.

You and Niall had just had your fifth date over the weekend and you had found yourself becoming more attracted to him over the time you spent with him.

At work, he could be fun and he was lovely to work with, but getting to know him personally made you realise how much you liked him, not for his looks, but for him.

"Did you like my guitar playing, over the weekend?" He grinned, proud that he had made you so intrigued into his musical side.

"I did, you were great and I didn't know you wrote songs too." You smiled.

You craved to know him more and more each time you were with him and your liking for him grew each time you had a date.

"Thank you," he blushed.

"So, Y/N, I was thinking... I originally thought a relationship wouldn't be ideal for us seeing as though we work together, but after getting to know you more I wondered if you'd consider that option." He spoke, seriously, surprising you by how forward he was.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so forward, but I thought that if I didn't get to the point I'd back out of saying it." He chuckled, noticing your change in mood.

"Oh, it's alright, I just wasn't expecting it...but, are you saying you'd like a relationship with me?" You asked.

"Yeah, well we've been on five dates now and I'd like to take it further because I feel like it's the right time. But if you don't think it is, that's fine." He said, avoiding your gaze as a blush formed formed on his cheeks.

"I'd love to." You said after thinking over it for a moment.

You had been wondering if or when he would ask you and now that he had, you were surprised, but excited nonetheless.

"Really?" He asked, perking up as he lifted his head, a smile on his lips.

"Yeah of course." You nodded.

"Great, well how about you come over to mine for dinner tomorrow?" He suggested.

"Will you be cooking?" You questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, of course. Besides, I've got Jamie Oliver's fifteen minute meals book to help me out." He laughed.

3 Months Later ~

"Y/N, come on, I want to, but what if people think that's why I promoted you?" He sighed, frustrated.

"Well that is why I work in your office two days a week, so if they thought that, they would be right." You argued.

"I know, but they might get offended." He stated.

Niall genuinely cared about his employees which was the main reason you were arguing. You had been dating for three months now and you wanted people to know.

"Ni come on, Sandra is probably the only one who will get offended and she would probably love to hear us arguing right now." You said, trying to lower your voice seeing as though you were currently stood in his office.

"Y/N, I want to tell them, but this is our personal business and it's not like they need to know." He continued.

"I'm not asking you to announce it, I'm asking you to stop pretending I'm nothing more than one of your employees whenever one of the other workers is around." You sighed.
