I watched the man gather some random belongings from off the fireplace mantel and rush out of the room, leaving the door wide open. I crawled over the woman and held her hands in mine. "Are you okay?" I asked. The woman was shaking from fear, I rushed over the bed sheet and grabbed a knife from my bag. I cut off hand sized strips of bedsheet. I wrapped them tightly around the cuts on the woman's hands.
The woman cowarded in the corner of the room. I walked over to the door, locking it securely. I placed one of the wooden chairs under the handle so if the man returned he would have to break the door down. Giving us time to try to escape. I sat at the round table waiting for the man to come back, but he never did..
