The starry one was cursed with the task of climbing the tallest ladder that reached from the earths to the heavens each day to cast dusk upon us. One night as Astraesus climbed the tallest ladder he met a beautiful woman referred to as the goddess of dawn. The two quickly fell inlove and together they formed nightfall and daybreak only able to meet by grasps of their fingertips when twilight fell upon them both.
Together dawn and dusk created five children, four sons and one daughter. The sons were in charge of the winds.The oldest was in charge of the north winds guiding the winter cold fronts. Notus was in charge of the south winds he called in the warm winds of midsummer.
Eurus the god of easterly winds was elected to bring in currents from the east, and last of the boys was the west wind Zephyrus. He was in control of the summer breeze.
